Wilson Lake is a reservoir in the U.S. state of Kansas, on the border of Russell County and Lincoln County. Built and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control, it is also used for wildlife management and recreation. Several parks are located along its shoreline, including Wilson State Park.
Wow, such a beautiful lake and facilities were top notch. Very, very windy while we stayed in October. Mountain biking trails were a load of fun, and had a variety of choices. Will definitely be back and will stay longer than one night.
We were driving cross country from Ohio to Colorado, so we didn't have time to enjoy this lovely lake other than driving by. It was very peaceful. There didn't seem to be a lot of people there, and it was big enough you could spread out if you wanted privacy. There was a sitting area and info sign up top. It appeared there was at least one beach on the lake. There were kayaks, swimmers, and boaters. I'd like to come back when I had more time to enjoy the water.
