Jewell State Fishing Lake

Small fishing lake with several shaded areas to dry camp. Very peaceful and beautiful.

This is my home lake. It has two pit toilets, but no potable water. It is a beautiful place to primitive camp. There are signs that show where camping is allowed. Please pack out your trash.

We arrived about 4 pm in the afternoon and only one other camper was here. We drove around the lake a found us a spot that suited us to setup. We camp in our suburban so camp setup is minimal for us. We had a solid 2 bars of Verizon 4g LTE. Work from phone and hotspot was easy and quick. We noticed that there were two vault toilets that were really clean. Several picnic tables were throughout the park.

Out in the middle of nowhere, stayed 2 weeks in our skoolie. It's end of nove.ber so Temps highs in 30s lows in teens, at night becomes very windy. Beautiful country with rolling hills fishing lake so no swimming but Beautiful water in the 2 weeks here didn't see a soul had the place to ourselves, we heat with a woodstove so used plenty of wood, had to collect drift wood and whatever we could find to last but great place long 7 miles dirt road to get here. Town has a gas station great grocery store and liquor store lol but nice people very friendly, would Def stay again but tryna head south for warmer temps. No cell service
