“A visit to Little House on the Prairie Museum is like stepping back in time”

ALERT Due to an ongoing error with GPS technology, many GPS navigators and mapping services are unable to direct their users to our site. To avoid becoming hopelessly lost, please use the following directions: From the north take US Highway 75 South out of Independence approximately 12 miles. When prompted by the large "Little House on the Prairie Museum" billboard, turn left off the highway onto County Road 2700 (CR 2700) and follow the small historic signs to the site. Your destination will be on the right side of the road. From the south take US Highway 75 North toward Independence, KS. Look for the large roadside billboard and follow the historic site signs to turn right off the highway onto County Road 3000 (CR 3000). Continue down CR 3000 1.4 miles until you reach the site. Your destination will be on the left.

For $3 I am not complaining. It was small, a few buildings with some interesting information. Bathroom onsite.

Another great stop during our exploring road trip. I could have stayed on the front porch of the store for hours.
Follow the signs I’d coming in 75, extremely easy to find.
