We stayed here Thursday night Thur Sunday night. This is a small park and it was full which was not the problem. Our neighbor had his girlfriend here for the weekend and he was entertaining. Music was very loud on his outside speakers while he was inside. Was hoping the camp host would do something but didn’t. Sign at entrance says “no loud music “
The park otherwise was quite. Good campground just a bad neighbor.

March 15, 2021 was my second time at this nice little campground I found on Campendium. Reservations were easy to make. I called Calcasieu Parish directly and was able to make reservations with a very pleasant lady (whose name, I’m embarrassed to say, I cannot recall). The park is small (9 sites) but I was able to park my class B easily on the level concrete pad and still had room for my compact car TOAD. Dump station conveniently located near park entrance. I took advantage of the bath house for my evening shower and found it acceptable. I’ll definitely stop over at Lorrain Park if I’m near there again.

This little CG gave us a chance to stay in a quieter area of bayou country at a fairly low price. So we’re glad we stayed - once.
What we didn’t like:
- The 9 sites were crammed together.
- When other campers made a lot of noise, everyone was affected.
- The CG hosts were not around. They had a small house on site but had jobs elsewhere.
- The electric service was troubled. We always test before plugging in. The 50 & 30 amp tested as having an open neutral & both tested as having current even when turned off. We used an adaptor to plug into 20 amp.
- The free shower had abundant hot water but no hooks or chairs or benches where you could put your stuff while in the shower.

Stayed here hoping to see gators in the wild, but did not. It was a let down, but the camp would be a nice place to stay for fishing and taking a boat up and down the river. As you would expect in the deep south, mosquitos were everywhere and humidity was above 90 percent. Campground has 9 camping spots and reservations are required, but don't be surprised when you arrive and someone else is parked in your spot. Coordination seems to be lacking as we showed up with someone in our spot. Luckily there was an open space we were able to take. The park and rec lady went out of her way to ensure we were taken care of that night. Bathrooms are clean and they have a new, small playground for the little ones. It was fun to experience, but we would not stay there again.

Pros: quiet and far from highways, very peaceful. Clean bathrooms and shower. Nothing fancy but comfortable.
No alligators!
Cons: even in cold weather way to many mosquitos.
I answered yes to the question "Would I camp here again?", but really it's a maybe because of the mosquitos. This was my first time camping in this part of Louisiana, didn't realize they would be so prevelent this time of year.

Overall I’d give this spot five stars except for the diesel irrigation pump running continuously. Sites are concrete with a gravel apron. It has water and electricity 50 30 and 20. A very nice stone fire ring a picnic table and a charcoal grill where at the site. The landscape was well manicured as well. A boat ramp was just a few yards away. I did not use the other facilities.
