Concrete campgrounds are not our preference. We prefer more rural….campgrounds with green grass, trees, large sites and friendly owners and guests.
Only 5 miles to Hammond which has quaint downtown as well as major box stores. An hour to New Orleans and various plantations.
New owners Scott and Arlene were the best hosts. Always helpful and available. True southern hospitality. Fellow residents and campers really friendly too
There are amenities for kids - playgrounds, swimming pool , adjacent river.
Wish we were here at the end of month, they are sponsoring a Swamp Pop music venue.
We would definitely return

A "Family" campground that charges you $10 for every child over 3 years old. Seems like they don't really want kids there with such fees.

The park was rather empty for our time there, but it appears they have activities often as they have a large pavilion/bandstand.
The grounds were very well maintained as people were out daily mowing and weeding. They pick-up trash "left at the curb" all day long so you don't have to run to a dumpster.
We really enjoyed the wandering group of white ducks, Peacocks and Peahens (one which is an Albino). They would cry out periodically, but were quiet at night.
The staff was super friendly and would often ask us how we were doing or if we needed anything as they went about there business on the grounds.
We truly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this campground.

Our FHU level gravel pull through site was great for our overnight through the area. Nice friendly staff, clean laundry room ( did a load of laundry) and nice little camp store. We enjoyed the solitude as we were there by ourselves ( though later in the evening a Class A pulled in ) would definitely stay again. Lots of trees, lovely piece of property. We even had peacocks walking around in the evening. 🦚

We called 2 hours before arriving and were blessed with very few campers in the campground as this is a great campground that is well attended! The staff and owners are super friendly and helpful! You are greeted by sweet peacocks, ducks, and goats! They hold great events that we unfortunately missed out on as we were just passing through! The campground is clean and well maintained! We were in site B3 that backed up to the lake! It was wide open and spacious with lovely oak trees surrounding the area! It had some great trails that led down to the river that we wish we had time to explore! I would definitely stay longer if I was coming this way again!

Reservations were very easy to make and the campground was clean and quiet. A perfect place to stay. Very safe for a Solo Traveler. Would definitely stay here again.
