I’ve been here a month now and would return! It is a very large place with many type of residents (Permanent year-rounders, full-time seasonal, weekenders seasonal, single month like myself, etc). I found everyone to be friendly and courteous. The pool was always sparkling crystal-clear, and the bathhouse was very clean. Someone mentioned dirt roads…you are only on dirt road one-TENTH of a mile when you come off of US 50 and I haven’t found the dust to be a problem, but then we’ve had everything closed-up with ac running due to continued heatwave hitting the central plains…100+ degree temps! They also have a Burger Bar on Fri/Sat night, and Breakfast on Sat/Sun mornings…free delivery from their on-site kitchen right to your door, very good and fairly priced (Bacon double cheeseburger is DELICIOUS!). But yeah, enjoyed my month!

This place is huge. Most of the prime spots are taken by full timers or seasonal. Not many trees and my site was not level. It is full service and the sites are close together. It seems that they have a lot of activities available , plus a swimming pool. Not our type of place for staying a long period. Rest rooms and showers were clean. A must see if you are into history is the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson Ks. about 20 miles away.

This park was ok. It seems to be 90% permanent residents.
Our site had a lot of trash. Bottles, bottle caps, juice boxes, broken zip ties, and more. There was a pile of discarded charcoal just piled up in the grass. I noticed a fair bit of trash around the park when I walked my dog.
The site was pretty level which was nice. It's a large park with several ponds that have lots of geese in them. Fun to watch. There's an off leash dog area.
I didn't use the pool but did see people cleaning it and it looked nice. Bunch of kids there in the afternoon.
The bathroom and showers weren't great. We were nearest the ones by the pool. The only privacy for the shower is the curtain between you and whoever else is in the bathroom. There's a hook but not really anywhere to put your stuff. You have to undress and dress in the shower unless you don't care about being nude in front of strangers.
The toilet stalls had doors but the doors were so short that I could see the person's head/face that was sitting in there when I walked by.
We only stayed 2 nights. They are a Passport America park so our fee was $16 a night.

We stopped on our way through Kansas. I called ahead to make sure we would fit. We tow with an HDT and our total hitched length is 61'! They said they have a spot that would work it had only water and 50 amp electric, perfect for the night! We arrived and had no problem getting in and parked in site #16. I usually don't set up my satellite for one night, but figured the only way to get TV out here (never did try the OTA's). Electric and water was fine. Both my Verizon & AT&T internet worked well. Drove our cart around to check it out yes, there are plenty of seasonal campers here, after talking to one of the work campers seems most are working construction or for oil companies in the area. Unlike the other review, I found this to be very well cared for and clean. Nice pool, clubhouse area. Had an overall good experience here and would come back if in the area again. A great bargain at the PPA $16 rate.

If you are just trying to find an overnight spot while traveling near Witchita and you want to get a few miles off the highway, then this campground would work as it was 12 miles off I-135 in Halstead, KS. It has many seasonal sites which were taken by construction workers. The site we had was not level and it didn’t look like too many around us were level either. The plus for us was that it was a Passport America park which gave us full hookups for only $16. Technology: strong free WiFi, lot’s of OTA TV stations and strong AT&T LTE signal. The roads in the park had several pot holes, so you had to drive slow The park overall seemed a little run down, but it was clean and taken care of.

During our stay here they had live entertainment and some food vendors. On the weekend you can have breakfast and dinner delivered to your rig. There is a playground for kids, tennis/pickle ball courts, miniature golf, and a small nature trail. The pool was closed because they had just finished painting it so it will be very nice for guests during the summer. They also have fishing ponds that are stocked with fish.
There are quite a few long term rentals but the people that live there seem to really care about their community. They have cabins and RV’s you can rent to stay in while you’re staying at the Resort. Everyone was friendly, from the staff to the residents.
Our site had no shade but most seem to. For the price (with the Passport America rate) we were very happy.

I was in one of the pull-thru sites. The rate was $32 but there is a 10% Good Sam Membership Discount. The weekend was in the high 90s and the campground was full. I had a dozen power surges in a couple hour period in the afternoon. So, if you are coming on a hot weekend day (though maybe any day as they told me it books up all summer long), don't plug in with a surge protector.
Because of the heat, I didn't walk around much. It was during COVID and they offered Friday and Saturday night dinners delivered to your rig as well as Sunday breakfast. I think normally you have those meals at the Family Center.
I used the bathhouse that's at the pool to shower. I might have given the place 5 stars if not for the bathroom. It was clean but it is more for people who want to rinse off after a shower than someone who really wants to shower. There is no place to put your towel, clothes or other things you don't want to get wet except on the floor outside the shower. I got there at 6 a.m. to beat any crowd (and the heat) and one person was already there and another came while I was showering. In other words, it's way too small for the traffic. There are two showers, two toilets and a changing room.

Passport America gave me a $16 rate with a limit of 7 days, I stayed 5. I had a nice pull-through spot that was very unlevel, it took every block I had to make it work but I had a nice lake view. The lake is strictly for viewing, no swimming, truth is you wouldn't want to anyway.
The road coming in is right off 50 so it's an easy exit, but it's unpacked dirt and if you're car wasn't filthy already it will be after the drive in. Once you're there there's an easier entrance/exit if you're in the back area, pass the main entrance and the very next turn in is the back of the campground, much faster and shorter. I found the checkin easy and the staff helpful.
This park is huge, there's a packed area when you enter the park but most of those spots looked like full-time residents, a bit of junk around that area, truth is I was glad I wasn't placed in that location. The laundry is there, but unless you like carrying laundry a long distance, you'll have to drive to it. There were 3 washers and 3 dryers, most of the machines looked very old although I didn't use any of them.
I was on the far side of the lake and nearby there's some type of reclamation across the drive, at times I could smell the faint odor of urine but I do smell things most people don't so you might not notice. It seemed like most overnighters or short-term stays were placed in the pull-through, full-hookup area. Each site had a permanent barbeque and a plastic picnic table but no fire ring. The spots were decently spaced with no shade at all. There were several cabins that rented out for the weekend and can get a bit rowdy in the evenings, but them, like most others in the pull-throughs left on Sunday.
In the back of the park there was another area that looked like full-time campers too. I didn't see many kids at all and the park was very quiet. If you take a walk around the lake you'll come to a very rickety bridge, just before the bridge you'll see a tree filled with gnomes (see photos), once you cross the bridge you'll see a sign about someone being the mayor of Gnomeville. Very cute.

Spent three nights here on our way to Denver using our Coast-to-Coast membership. This is a large park with several ponds. Sites and access roads are dirt and gravel (mostly dirt); which makes the place VERY dusty in summer months. We're going to have our rig professionally washed after leaving here, the dust covers just about EVERYTHING. I assume the dust problem would be a lot less in the fall and winter months.
The management is very nice. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon; the office was closed, but our paperwork was conveniently tacked to the bulletin board outside. We had some problems leveling our rig on our assigned site; but, we were able to move to another site without any problems.
They have all the usual amenities, and trash is picked up outside your RV every morning. The sites in our section were not very level. This would be a 5-star RV park if the access roads were paved and the sites were level and paved.
