Cell phone service was One Bar (Verizon). Has nature trail, boat ramp, and wooden stairs that provide access from the campground to McConnico Creek. The creek leads to the Tombigbee River. Plenty of birds for those who enjoy bird watching and photography. Saw Bluebirds, Wood Peckers, Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Heron, and many more. Heard Turkeys when walking the nature trail.

Nothing wrong with the camp, we would have stayed longer, but we needed cell service for work.
Sites 1-32 are on the water and have access to the creek for boating & fishing, but have no view.
Sites 33-42 are in the woods and seem more private. They were empty when we were there early in the season, and looked a little overgrown still.
Our site was set up backwards, so that the pull in left the awning on the wrong side for the patio. We would have needed to either back in, or drive the loop and pull in on the way out. Really not worth it for 1 night

While most of the hosts were friendly, there was one that wasn’t friendly and tried to be bossy. We’ve stayed as a group of 10-16 campers over the years and it will probably be our last. Most of the COE campgrounds have laundry opened back from Covid except for this one and Foscue and they’re in the same area. Several witnessed friends of the hosts being allowed to use the laundry along with the hosts but most campers weren’t allowed access. Also, very limited cell service but that’s not a problem. The office needs to be utilized more for campers going in and out and laundry back in service.
