Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 03, 2024This is a large open field that is well shaded by the pines. It is located on an abandonded Army base and is very popular with horse back riders who ride the trails exploring the old base. One of the regulars informed us that this location can get very busy on the weekends, especially on holiday weekends.
Any size rig should be able to fit at this location without issue. There are zero amenities but the area is quite and the trail riders are friendly.

Free safe place to park. Beautiful tall pines. Pretty quiet; heard only a few cars on the closest road. $5 to use the multi-use trails.
No designated parking spots. Lots of flat and grassy space to park.
No fire rings, but we were lucky enough to find a previous camper’s fire and stacked firewood with a kind note to ‘help yourself’.

I got here at night. Watch your step 💩.
Grounds were wet, be careful with heavy trucks/trailers. I had 2 bars of LTE ATT. I was the only one here during the night.

Camped one night February 18th , beautiful, only ones there. Next day 2 locals showed up to prepare for a family trail ride the next week. They use it as their personal camp. They were nice enough but when we returned in a week it was packed with people, campers and I would camp here again but have a plan B if the locals are using it.
