The Big Thompson River is right next to the campground and the noise from the river provides wonderful ambiance. I was fortunate to get one of the sites that backs into the river. The sites in the middle of the property are incredibly cramped -- I'm not sure how some of the big trailers even found their way into those spots. Very conveniently located to both Rocky Mountain NP and Estes Park.

We recently stayed here with our two young boys. As another reviewer noted, the sites are very close together, but we didn’t find it to be a problem. The campground was quiet and peaceful. The owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Our site backed up to the river with a small deck overlooking it. Our boys enjoyed climbing over the rocks to the river’s edge to play in the water. I’d highly recommend getting a riverside spot. The internal spots, while nice, didn’t have the same appeal. I believe a lot of them are permanent RVs owned and rented by the campground. The campground was conveniently located near Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is a small campground...but for us, that was part of the appeal. Just keep in mind that because of the size, you’ll want to book well in advance. Very friendly staff and clean grounds. The Big Thompson River runs alongside the property and there are several cabins, if you’re traveling with friends/family that may not have a RV. Easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Great staff who helped get my 35ft 5th wheel in the tightest spot I’ve ever parked. They have a 36ft size limit for a reason. Right on the river. Elk in the field across the river. 30amp but who needs AC in Estes. Wasn’t an issue. Close to NP entrance and downtown. Also they have great WiFi. I reserved June 12 2020 for Memorial Day weekend 2021 and they had one spot left

Beautiful, well maintained and managed! We stayed right on the river. As others have said, a little tight space but totally worth it! And don’t worry about backing in. The staff helps and makes it easy. We’ll be back!
We go here every year. Love the place. Not for big rigs.
Paradise on the River is a unique RV park situated right next to the Big Thompson River. Some rental RV's as well as cabins. We stayed in our own RV right by the river, and those spots have decks overlooking right on the river! The only downside was not a lot of room to walk your pups, so I walked them on the highway.
