Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 16, 2022We learned about this resort when I saw an article about the Slippery Summit water obstacle course they had installed for the summer. We assumed it was a private RV park, but found that it had been a farm previously and was purchased and recently developed by the city. The property is 170+ acres half a mile from I-65 in Cullman.
There are 50 FHU campsites that are all 20 feet wide and 50 feet long, level, and concrete. They all have brick firepits and aluminum picnic tables. There is decent spacing between sites with trees planted that should provide shade when mature. There are a few pull-through sites, a number of buddy sites, and premium sites that have large outdoor fireplaces. Even when the campground is full, you don't feel right on top of each other. All campsites are equal in quality of site, with some backing to a fairly busy road, so a bit noisier. There is extensive planting between the road and campsite, but it is not mature enough yet to dampen the road noise and the traffic was not bad at night.
Reservations and site selection are online with a transaction fee. The fee is charged whether you book online or by phone. The office has a camp store with a small selection of RV supplies and drinks, etc. Behind the office is a game room with free ping pong, some video games, a laundry facility, and the campground bathrooms. There is no bathhouse directly by the campsites since they are all FHU.
The quality of the campsites, esp. for the price, were enough to give a good review, but the amenities made it really stand out. There are two lakes. One for fishing that dogs are allowed to swim in! The other has a sandy beach and a gigantic inflatable obstacle course on the water. Campers pay $5/hour for time on the course and it is limited to 40 people at one time. It was a good workout and a ton of fun. It is open to the public and there are bathrooms and parking in a separate area for that.
Besides the water activities, there is a basketball court, pickleball courts, excellent playground, hiking trails, fenced dog park, etc.
There was campground wifi with repeaters throughout the campground (we didn't try it). Verizon worked well for streaming there.
The location is midway between Huntsville and Birmingham, so a good base for visiting either city.
There are tent sites for rent in the wooded area behind the lake and new heated and air-conditioned tent cabins with bathrooms that will be available to rent soon.
The water pressure was VERY high, so make sure to have a pressure regulator.

This campground is an absolute gem! We made reservations last minute and did not regret our decision. The campground is about a year old and no cost has been spared. Concrete pads, asphalt roads, great WiFi, pet friendly, and kid friendly too!

Good for a night or two. Easy interstate access, wide roads, generous sites, full sun and good Verizon. Small dog park, fishing pond, and a couple of pickleball courts. Water system has extremely high pressure. Turn on the water to test your regulator before connecting hose to the RV. Too much road noise for me to return.

We stayed here 1 night 4/20/2022, mid week. Campground is a large, flat sunny piece of land very close to I-65, but many, many pretty little hardwood trees have been planted on the property so in a few years it will have a totally different look. Sites are paved & easily accessed. Descriptions in previous reviews are accurate. Everything is clean & new. Our energetic pup definitely enjoyed the large dog park. If our grandchildren had been with us, we would not have been able to get them off of the awesome playground structure. I wanted to climb it myself! Yes we do recommend a stop at this pleasant & well built RV park. As stated previously, water pressure is incredibly high so be prepared!

Overall this is a very nice campground. It is new with large spacious and concrete paved sites with full hookups. It is perfect for overnight stop overs as it is easily accessed from I - 65.
There are several amenities, including hall courts, playground, swimming pond & fishing pond. There is also a water park for an additional fee.
The grounds are well manicured with each site having a picnic table and fire pit. The campground is not large and most of the sites are in the Sun right off the road, so not necessarily somewhere I would want to camp for an extended stay. It does have quick access to shopping and eateries in Cullman. Would stay here again.

Well maintained concrete sites with city water and sewer. High water pressure. Quiet and good price for an overnight stay while traveling. Plus, there’s a swimming pond with water slides for the kids.

This is a great place to stay. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Plenty of things to do at for the whole family. Conventionally located less than half a mile for I-65.

We arrived and were met with friendly service from the staff. Easy access from the interstate. Level sites and all concrete. I highly recommend a water pressure regulator due to very high water pressure in the park. The campground is very aware of this and makes it known when you book your site. Very clean park. I highly recommend staying here!!

New park with double wide concrete pads. All sites have stone fire rings and some have chimneys. Water pressure is high, 170psi, full hookups and they pickup your trash daily. WiFi excellent and can stream. Verizon cell service was 2 bars. No cable but ok tv channels. Easy access to I-65 and many good restaurants to choose from thru yelp. We enjoyed the Bust Bee cafe for breakfast in Cullman. Old school diner/cafe
