This resort park is an awesome gated (code) place to set up to enjoy the Gulf Coast just south of Mobile, Alabama! Big Rig Friendly!! Most sites are paved concrete pads with exception of a few Big Rig (Back Center) in which are hard packed crushed shell. Steve & Starr (owners) and the staff always have things planned for their function house. Bath houses, though dated, are clean and ample. Two laundry rooms with two washers, two driers each and folding table are clean and in same building as bath/restrooms. You'll make life-long friends here with the full-time homesteaders. They all will make you feel at home! Bay Palms RV Resort is located only about 7 miles to Dauphin Island, 30 minutes to Mobile and about 15 miles to I-10 (Dauphin Island Exit). Propane available for sale and delivered to your site from the staff. A pool and playground is in operation during Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. Family friendly! Note: bring your own table/chairs as they don't have picnic tables. We will return to Bay Palms RV Resort again!!

This rate included tax. We stayed here in March 2020. Nice weather.15 minutes to Dauphin Island. The campground has close to level concrete pads large enough for rv and vehicles. There’s a nice pool and laundry. New washers are expected soon. The managers are very nice, and helpful. It’s on a highway but the road noise was not bad.
There is nowhere to take a walk from the property. Backing into site was very tight. Sites are close together and we didn’t have a picnic table.

This was our first time to use our camper. This is a great place for beginners. Everyone is very friendly. Our son loved the pool. It’s about 10 minutes from Dauphin Island where there is plenty to do for a family.

Half of this park is concrete pads and half is unfinished gravel spots. We unfortunately didn’t get to choose and ended up in a gravel spot. Our first day here, the breaker tripped to the sewage pump, and when my husband went to dump the black tank, the sewage started bubbling up out of the ground. The staff was nice and fixed the breaker and covered the area with lime, but it was still pretty frustrating. On top of that, we had a lot of rain during our visit and all of the gravel sites flood really bad. Our sewer hose and electric cord were almost completely submerged with water. I understand that they can’t control rain, but the concrete sites had no flooding issues. If their plan is to complete the gravel sites and turn them into concrete pads, then they should do that instead of filling all of the gravel sites with people every day while several concrete sites sat empty the whole time.
The bathroom and showers were nice and the pool was nice. Verizon and AT&T both had strong signals, and Dauphin Island is only 10 minutes away which is a neat place. But those are the only positive things I have to say about this park.

I couldn't get a reservation on the island and picked this one as it was close. The sites are tight but fairly level and facilities are decent.

Bay Palms RV Park is located only about 10 minutes from Dauphin Island and about 30 minutes from Mobile, Alabama. It was rather packed when we were there. It had been raining all day when we arrived so we backed up into a rather soaked area. There were pools of water behind our site. Over the course of the week it eventually dried up.
There was room to maneuver around the park. There is a heated pool, but the pump had just broken when we arrived, so no swimming for the kids. We waited the whole week for it to be fixed, as the part was coming, but nothing. They did have a foosball table though. They also have a gym.
Nice neighbors, but also loud ones who loved their late Friday nights.
On checkout we were charged for 2 fillups of propane. I was told earlier that week that it was a certain price per gallon that seemed like a good deal. One was empty so no problem there, but the second was only about 40% empty and we wanted to top off before leaving. Apparently they don't do that even though over the phone I was told the per gallon price. They charge the full amount per 30lb container, not per gallon. We tried to argue our case for it, but the manager did not budge. We ended up spending an extra $15 for propane we never received. Not cool!
I didn’t record the Starlink speeds, but we had coverage and everything ran fine. AT&T and Verizon were also good.

This isn't the type of campground we normally camp at but we had some last minute changes in our plans and was able to get a spot here. The campground is decently sized but the campsites are pretty much right on top of each other. They have both pull-through and back in sites. Some back-in sites are gravel and some are paved. There was only a gravel sites left when we were booking so that's what we got. You cannot pick a site. You just pay for a site and they assign it to you when you get here. We got lucky and got a site on the end of a row so backing our trailer in wasn't a problem but I couldn't imagine trying to back one in if you got a site in the middle since the sites are pretty tight. They have a lot of amenities. Definitely family friendly. They have a playground, small basketball court, pool, pavilion with an indoor area where they host different activities each week such as bingo, game night, kids crafts, etc. The bathhouse was decent. A little dated but it was clean and served its purpose. It's a good base camp if you're wanting to visit both Mobile and Dauphin Island as its in the middle of those. About 15 minutes from Dauphin Island and 30 from Mobile. The only true gripe I have about this place is that the No-See-Um's were AWFUL at our site!!! We couldn't open any of vents, windows, or the door without the trailer being full of them. You really couldn't even sit outside because they were so bad which was unfortunate because we had some decent weather while we here. It wasn't so bad that we wouldn't stay here again if we were in the area but we would look at some other places first.
