Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on January 19, 2017Stayed here in a truck camper in mid January. Water and electric hookups at each site. The larger and wider sites were $20. Clean bathhouse and showers. Very friendly camp host and other campers. Felt safe at night. Would love to go back and stay for longer. Zero TMobile Internet or phone service.
We stayed at Kincaid campground. I guess there are around 20 sites here. There are other campgrounds within kitachie nf.

On our way west needed a stopping place for a couple of nights and found this very nice forest campground. From the main highway you have to drive 5 or 6 miles down a bit of a rough asphalt road, but you're rewarded with a nice campground.
Sites are $20 a night for a very spacious "double" or $15 a night for a nice size single. Half off for senior rate. Sites are well spaced. There are two separate loops and some of the sites in each have a bit of a lakeview. There is a mix of level and low-level sites. All sites come with water and electric, picnic table, hook and fire ring and lots of trees. There are many well tended trash cans throughout the loops so you never have to go far to get rid of the trash. One loop has a new playground with shredded rubber base for kids. The bathrooms (2 stalls, 1 shower) are very clean, with hot water, soap, bench, hooks, and paper towels.
This is a very well taken care of campground and we appreciate the effort. We considered staying longer because it was so nice BUT there us no Verizon cell signal. I exaggerate, every blue moon you could get a 3g with 3 bars for a minute or so. We have no boosting equipment so we were basically unplugged from our phones and the internet world. Totally worth it in this little gem of a campground.

Kincaid has far more than primitive campsites. 40 or so full hookups at this NFS Campground. Lake , picnic area, fishing piers, beach area, and a playground round out this lovely campground, not to mention several hiking trails around the lake and connecting trails to the Kitsatchie National Forest ‘Wild Azalea Trail’
We spent a wonderful, quiet weekend get away there in late February of 2020.
