“you can't find a place more beautiful or peaceful”
Little River State Park and Campground is located off U.S. highway 21 North. Little River offers approximately 2,100 acres of long-leaf pine forest, and provides a unique setting for many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking swimming, camping, boating, fishing, and handicapped hunting. Little River is managed by Ironmen Outdoor Ministries, a not for profit organization that commits itself to compassionately reach out and bless those who are in need; particularly those who are handicapped, children in need, the impoverished, and the abandoned.
The lake is huge and great to canoe on and there are lots of trails. I loved this place when I was a kid, back when the state maintained it, but I haven't been back since it changed hands so I can't speak for it now.
