Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on December 07, 2019There are no amenities here, just a picnic table and a trash can like it shows in the picture. It served as a spot for us to sleep for a night on our way to Big Bend. There is no cell service or lights, or water. However there was a lot of wild life in the area which was cool to see. The most I've seen since Northern California. And since there are no lights the stars were amazing the night we were there.

We were planning on staying here tonight because the Elephant Mountain Wildlife Campground area is closed November 26-December 11. However, border patrol stopped in to check on us and informed us that it was a common route for immigration. Also, they recently had a drug bust of 5000 pounds. We decided to try one of the campgrounds near Alpine.
