Boshell's Mill is the historic site of a gristmill and sawmill on Lost Creek near Townley in rural Walker County, Alabama. W.R. Boshell built the original dam and sawmill in 1885. The original mill burned in the 1890's but rebuilt. . It was operated by steam until 1901, when it was converted to a water driven mill. The original dam broke in the spring of 1902, however, and the present rock structure was completed in the summer of that year. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It was recorded by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1992. The gristmill was destroyed by fire in 1976, and the sawmill burned in 1986.
The mill burned down a few years ago. Someone has bought the land and built their home there. The land is marked off as private property with no trespassing signs.
