“halfway through Route 66!”
We are located at the traditionally accepted halfway point of Historic Route 66, the midpoint between Chicago and Santa Monica. Accross the street from the cafe is the "Welcome To The Midpoint" sign, one of the top photographed signs along Route 66. We are also the ONLY place on Route 66 to get Midpoint RT66 Gifts and Souvenirs, so please stop in and see our gift shop inside the cafe. We have been told by many visitors that the MidPoint Cafe and Gift Shop is one of the best gift shops along all of Route 66. So see for yourself!!! Home of the MidPoint "Ugly" Pies! Completely homemade and one of the best pie crusts you'll ever taste. We try to have at least six (6) different flavored pies available each day, from fruit pies like apple, peach, or cherry, to our cream pies, including coconut, chocolate, and peanut butter/chocolate cream. We also do a fanatstic and delicious "Texas Pecan" pie, and our house specialty, a chocolate chip and pecan pie which when warmed, tastes like a large chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven. So stop by and try a slice! Maybe top it off with a scoop of vanilla bean ice ice cream...YUMMY!!! We are also known for our all fresh delicious burgers, that even the local ranchers keep coming back to feast on!!! Always fresh, never frozen patties of Angus Beef. But remember, we are located in Texas, so our portions are big, like everything is in Texas!!! We are also open for breakfast.
