Days Inn by Wyndham Vega TX

If you can’t make it to Amarillo and you have to spend the night in Vega (in the middle of nowhere) the choices are limited. The Days Inn was nice with a very helpful and kind staff, the check in was very easy and the price very reasonable. We had a pet friendly room and it was very clean with a comfy bed and a tv with great channel selections and properly working air conditioning. The breakfast wasn’t impressive but fresh with typical motel food choices. If i have to spend the night in Vega, Days Inn will probably be the place i’ll stay at.

Went on a long trip from Illinois to CA, too tired to keep driving we had the good fortune of stopping here for the night. Texas hospitality at its finest. Front Desk gentleman David was accomodating, and so thoughtful. Told him I was traveling with my two older Aunt's and Mother ; he made sure to put us on the ground floor with in a handicap room with rails in the bathroom, met us once we parked and offered to help carry in our things. Not to mention the GREAT rate! Best experience on our whole trip. Thanks David for being such a southern gentleman, and true professional. If your traveling on the 40 in Texas and need a room, do yourself a favor, skip Amarillo and the other spots and just stay here. Awesome.
