We made it to the refuge about 5pm but had trouble finding the camping spot. Finally Connie asked a local and he gave some guidance. We've seen a lot of birds and grasshoppers. Found out I had hit a branch and broke the mount on the cell booster antenna. It's now glued with Gorilla glue and hoping that holds. It's beautiful and peaceful here...only two other RVs.

Connie and I arrived here yesterday after driving across Colorado and taking the eastern bypass around Denver through Aurora. Traffic was fairly heavy most of the way with some stop and go closers to Denver. There was some light rain north of Denver. The reservoir is beautiful and we're looking forward to spending a non-driving day in the area.

Enjoyed a the day looking around the reservoir and Ft Collins area. We went to Home Depot looking for some O ring lubricant but no luck. Went to Trader Joe's and Gilded Goat Brewing and enjoy a local Scottish Ale and Connie had a blackberry lemon spritzer. We then went to Red Lobster for lunch and Safeway to pickup a few items for S'mores. After a drive around the west side of the reservoir we settled in for the evening and watched the debate.

We drove from Ft. Collins to Medicine Bow where we stopped for lunch and observed we had a cracked windshield which occurred while passing through some road construction. Continuing on the Sand Creek Massacre Trail through the Boysen Reservoir and State Park we enjoyed a beautiful winding vistas alongside the river. We boondocked at the Thermopolis Golf Course and enjoyed a stiff drink watching an amazing sunset over the greens.

We drove north through Cody and said goodbye to Wyoming arriving in Livingston Montana about 6:30 pm. Osens was a nice regular campground where we spent two nights. Had dinner in a Mexican restaurant which really wasn't that great compared to NM food.

Really good museum also had a Leonardo Da Vinci display showing replicas of his many inventions. He was truly a renaissance man and accomplished in many fields including art, physics, mechanics, etc.

American Computer & Robotics Museum

Date:

We checked out of Osens this morning and drove into Bozeman. Our first stop was this museum. ACRM highlighted the growth of computing from the earliest cuneiform tablets to the modern smartwatches/smartphones. We took the guided tour and learned a lot about the history and quick progression of computing. I was especially interested since some of the first computers I worked on such as a DEC PDP-8 were on display. They seemed to focus on Apple and lacked IBM computers in their history. I offered to donate my old Osborn and they were interested. Will follow up when we return.
