“300,000 objects and 500,000,000 years of history”
The Museum of the Rockies (MOR) is a world-class museum located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Bozeman, Montana. Known for its vast collection of dinosaur fossils, the Museum houses some of the most famous dinosaur specimens in the world including Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. MOR features permanent exhibits on dinosaurs, regional and American Indian history, as well as changing exhibits that focus on “bringing the world to Bozeman.” A planetarium features shows on the night sky, and a living history farm on the Museum grounds is home to magnificent Heirloom Gardens. In 2010, the new Explore Yellowstone: Children's Discovery Center opened as a permanent exhibit designed for children up to 8 years old.
Nice museum with great dinosaur exhibit. Third floor has padded Yellowstone romper area for 0-3, lifesaver.
Wonderful exhibits with excellent reader boards for self-guided information...everything from dinosaurs (WOW--T-rex is in the house!) to native to space to crocs. My daughter loved it!
Absolutely worth the visit. A hidden gem
Trip was great. Had a lot of interesting information and had skulls of some of the dinosaurs that you got to compare yourself to.
Amazing museum and planetarium. A must-do in Bozeman!
INCREDIBLE museum! Dinosaur eggs, bones and other historical artifacts. T-Rex bones and many, many other dinosaurs. We spent a couple hours and could have stayed much longer!
The gift shop is super nice- grab a dinosaur shirt!
Beautiful museum! Worth the stop!
Great museum. I especially enjoyed the glass wall into the lab to watch the palientologist work.
Amazing! Go early so you have time for everything. We will definitely return. This is one of the best dinosaur bone collections I have seen in the world! Very impressed!
