Goodbye Logan Square. You were very good to our family. Thanks for all the Malnati's!
The world's larges truck stop! I bet there's some good trucker lunch food here!
After leaving the truck stop, we begin driving the 4.5 hours to our next stop.
We arrive in Nebraska and then stretch our legs by walking on this lovely bridge. Then eat dinner and get some sleep
Whether we walk on the bridge or not, we will want dinner before tucking into bed. Here are 2 options!
The breaded pork tenderloin sandwich is a signature food from Iowa! Here are some options of places to eat that are close by.
This morning (August 23) we head to Laramie, Wyoming. It will be 7 hours in the car so get comfortable!
The Runza is found almost EXCLUSIVELY in Nebraska and there are chains throughout. It is a yeast roll with meat and other things inside it. Kind of like a giant hot pocket!
After we leave the lunch spot, we drive 3.25 hours and can stop for dinner in Cheyenne. For some reason hotels are expensive in Cheyenne, so we reserved rooms in Laramie instead. But the good restaurants are in Cheyenne. The Albany Restaurant was founded in 1905! If we eat there, we then drive 45 minutes to our hotel.
From here, we drive another 45 miles to our hotel in Laramie
I have no informed comment to make about the giant Lincoln that we will drive by.
Good morning! Today we will drive to Salt Lake City. It is a little shorter of a trip, only about 6 hours. That gives a little time to explore this cool city! I've marked a few drive-by sites but we can see what's happening!
