This is our family's Thanksgiving Week Adventure. We enjoy family time in the RV, exploration, adventure, downtime, games, and educational experiences (geology and history). Easy hike...cool history and nice photo opportunities.
This is a great picture place. It is right off the main road. It is a great place to have the kids scramble along the rocks. Helmets, gloves and clothes that could get torn should be worn by the kids.
Per the reviews I've read, this is an excellent destination to hit at sunset. We might want to explore looking for some neat dining experiences in and around Joshua Tree.

I think this would be an excellent place the kids would love after a hike.
