Owned by the Agua Caliente Band of the Cahuilla Indians this canyon was only transformed into what it is now in the last couple decades. The 50 foot falls are located in the South end of Palm Springs. Even with an admission cost to take the hike this waterfall is worth seeing.

This is a great, pretty doable hike. Our party ranged in age from early 20s to (very active, athletic) mid-70s, and we all enjoyed it. We also saw lots of kids and families on the trail, although I think my non-Californian kids would have whined quite a bit about the heat. (We left them with their dad at the pool.)
The uphill portion is mildly challenging but probably manageable for most people. The day we went, the trail was busy, with lots of folks heading up and down simultaneously, and I understand that's pretty normal for this hike, which is very popular.
Definitely be wildlife-aware -- our path down was temporarily blocked by a young rattlesnake, and quite a few people we talked to on the way down had spotted others along the way. I have a pretty intense snake phobia, but I would do this hike again just to get to the falls -- so beautiful and refreshing as a midway break! The views are pretty spectacular, and the terrain makes the hike fun even in the spots where you're feeling hot and tired. 10/10 would recommend.
The waterfall is great! Let me warn you about the hike. Anyone who says its not difficult is lying to you. This is an intense walk. I recommend going in the morning. The desert heat in the afternoon would be unbearable. The staff here would care less about you which impacted my rating. They are very rude and act as if you are lucky to visit.
