“a fixture on Airline Highway since 1958”
Built by Morris Terry in 1958, The LaPlace Frostop has become a fixture on Airline Hwy (US 61) in LaPlace, Louisiana. Mr. Terry leased out the restaurant until 1973 when his daughter Evelyn, and her husband Jimmie Toler, took over. Their daughter, Terry, joined her parents as owner-manager after graduating from LSU in 1993. Even though The LaPlace Frostop has completed two renovations, the first in 1981 and again in 1996, it has retained its old-fashioned, drive-in atmosphere. Today, The LaPlace Frostop continues to proudly serve the River Parishes area with our tried and true blend of tasty drive-in treats and local favorites. We are looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2008.
