The staff was super helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make you welcomed, but there is no getting around the fact that you there is nothing between you and your neighbor. The vast majority of the campers here are seasonal, and some will proudly tell you they have been coming here for a hundred years.
The campground is very close to Boone and one of the major highways going out of town, so you will hear trucks whizzing by all night long.
If you need a place Boone, you won't find one any closer.

We stayed here one night this past weekend. Camp sites were packed together. Many long term campers. Tons of road noise from route 105. We had our 4 year old grandson with us and our site was right on the stream with rushing water. A little scary. We would probably not camp here again.

We've stayed twice and enjoyed both times. It's a small park right on a stream. The rushing water makes for a great night's sleep. It's right on a busy 2 lane road but down in a little ravine so most of the road noise is muted.

This was a great little campground. The location is great other than it being right by a road and a stream made it a little noisy. However, the cleanliness and scenery made up for it. Also, it's literally right behind the gem mine which is a bonus if you are camping with family or even as a couple.
