This is my hometown, and an area I'm very familiar with. It's a quick drive off the interstate, but removed enough to be noise free. The RV park is adjacent to a baseball park (formerly for the minor league team) and a newly constructed sports and event center. The RV park was expanded significantly for anticipated traffic with the new event center and sports complex that will continue to be under construction in the coming year(s). It is also the home of the SEC baseball tournament, a time you're certain to not be able to get a reservation. All other times, I've never seen it busy. Extremely well cared for, full hook ups, excellent wifi coverage. You can't beat the proximity to any need you may have in a city. All big box stores, grocery stores, mall, local eateries, all within a 5 mile radius. There are plenty of green areas close by as well. The Moss Rock Preserve and Red Mountain Park are very convenient, plus Tannehill State Park and Oak Mountain State Parks just a short drive. You can't go wrong staying here.

The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars was only because there were no showers or laundry. It is basically a big parking lot with full hookups in the back of a huge sporting venue, Hoover Metroplex .

This is a great place if you have young’ins place sports at the complex and you have a place to rest and eat. Hoover is about 20 minutes from Birmingham where there is a lot to see. In nearby Hoover there are tons of stores, restaurants and movies within minutes.

WiFi was great here as well as cell.

What Sue and Dave said. We're here as a practical solution while my wife closes out a law practice. It's conveniently located to downtown Birmingham, making our commute manageable.

Paid $44 per day. Did not accept any discount memberships. Visited in late November with no reservation. Half empty lot. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). We stayed in spot 87.

It's a flat, clean, well lit lot. HUGE playground that was just built last year for the kids right next to the RV lot. The power and water are conveniently located in a modern pedestal. The sewer is a little tricky to attach because you park on the asphalt and the sewer is up on the curbed island. So it takes a bit of work to get the required downward slope for gravity to do its job. Most people had something stacked on the asphalt to build up to the level of the curb. Each island has a large trash can.

No restaurants, grocery stores or gas stations right next door, but it's only a few minutes to a couple different strip malls. Seems like a very nice area.

Docked a star for a hidden phone reservation fee. Payment and arrival info was confusing because there wasn't a check-in desk so we arrived at the park and called them to see where we could park (half the lot was empty). They took our info and then said there was a $4 per day fee for booking over the phone. We asked if the fee applied to online orders and they said yes. But after checking the online reservation system, there is no fee. So save $4 per day by just booking online!

We stayed in early March 2020 and had a decent experience.

The Good:
- Strong Wifi/Cell signal
- Great drainage (poured rain 2 days here and no fear of flooding)
- Concrete structures in athletic complex for weather shelters
- Easy access and modern hookups
- Perfect place for parents/fans if you have kids in a sports event here!

The Not-So Good:
- Expensive for a glorified parking lot (no bath houses, etc)
- Enforcement of rules inconsistent: We booked our site online and it was taken when we arrived. The office rep on the phone was very helpful but they never made the people in our site move.
- Can be noisy during sporting events
- Unclear check-in procedure and weak signage for those who didn't book online

The met is basically a parking lot, but was still uneven. If you have kids they have a wonderful playground. It was fairly quiet when we were there and it served its purpose.
However, the check in and check out procedure is unclear and there is no one to contact if there are problems or questions. But we enjoyed our stay.

Easy in and out off I-459 Loop. Spots are pull through and have full hookups. They are more spacious than I thought they would be so that’s a plus. When making your reservation, consider which side of your RV has the sewer connection if you plan to use it. The dumps, along with the water, electric, and cable, are located in the concrete islands. I picked a site and, just my luck, the island was on our passenger side which is opposite our dump connection. Take a look on Google Maps satellite view and make a better choice than I did. It wasn’t that bad but a little planning on my end would have made it easier.
There is a nice playground on site for those of you with small children. Site felt very safe and secure too.

Very convenient location to I-65, I-59 and I-459 and the Hoover Met sports complex, but it is a just a parking lot. Walking the dog was interesting since grass is scarce. The designer and builder did not understand the needs of an RV, for example:

* The sites are not level, but it drains well, like all parking lots
* The island is between 8 and 12 inches high, so getting your stinky slinky to drain is tough
* The island between site has the power & water on the pedestal. No electrical concern there, right?
* The sewer connections are on either end of the 35-foot island. Hopefully the rig using the other side of the island left you with a sewer you can reach

For an overnight it’s OK, but it is not a destination or easy to use. This is an RV parking lot so plan accordingly.

This is basically a huge asphalt parking lot for RVs. It holds maybe 100 RVs with space for many big rigs. Every site has full hookups. There is almost no shade and there is no Bathhouse or bathrooms for RVs. There are bathrooms at the adjacent playground (fabulous playground!) and soccer fields. It is a clean and well-maintained place. The big positive is that it is close to Birmingham and many attractions there. It is also right next to the Finley Center and stadium; there are a lot of sports activities next to the camping area.

The Hoover Met is a good location to access the attractions of central Birmingham using the excellent freeway system. And surprisingly, in spite of all the sports complex activity, we found it to be a quiet spot. We arrived on 3/2622 a Saturday, and the sports complex was hopping. As we set up, heard rousing cheers from what appeared to be a cheer competition in front of the arena. No check-in procedure was required for our online reservation; a gate guard only asked for our site number. Meanwhile a little league baseball tourney was underway on the nearby outdoor complex. The RV park was not near full. By Sunday, RVP mostly empty, even though LLBB finals continued on fields out of sight of the RVP. Strong Verizon cell coverage including 5G-UW.
