Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 24, 2021This is a Passport America and Escapees Park under new owners. They have lots of future plans. Right now, I would describe this as a "wild camping" experience, but with full hook ups for only $15/night! There is so much potential here, very friendly and enthusiastic new owners who want to make this the perfect spot for RVers. The main activity is fishing, but we managed to get in a two mile serene walk. This is on a main road from the north to the beaches. It should be filling up. Sadly, our GPS wouldn't accept the address, but it is on google maps. Check out their website ( http://www.walnutcreekrvpark.com/find-us.html) directions and look for signs.
Arrival was welcoming. We had trouble finding it. The owner answered the phone and directed us right there. Lots are grass and are flat.
This sweet park has great potential and is under going some improvements. Right now, the only tip is to treat the soil to terminate the red ants.
Our favorite thing was the serenity! Very quiet and gorgeous lake!

This is basically just a ginormous field dotted with hundreds of electrical hookups surrounding a decrepit warehouse that houses a crossfit gym. Not much in the way of amenities; no bathrooms or showers (that I could find), just a little laundry shack. Not much in the way of shade — just a few trees down where the permanent residents live. There are a few campsites by a small pond (which I think they grandiosely call Lake Promise), but other than that…..camping here is like being a cow grazing in a pasture, waiting to be hauled off to slaughter. It was fine for a quick overnight stay…but honestly at $30 and no bathhouse, I’d just stay at WalMart if in the area again.

Stopped here on our way to Florida. Not any signs on main route to find it so go slow when you get close to rr. People were very friendly at check in and one of the gentlemen came by in the am and took my trash. Full hookups in basically what is a field. If a dog didn’t bark most of the night I would have been very happy with the camp grounds. Easy pull thru sites. Washer dryer building. I would try it again

This used to be a nice place, but no longer. We woke up to numerous items missing from our rig. This time we noticed a lot of permanent resudents with messy sites, loud kids and basically people who looked a bit sketchy. The tons of college students are no problem, but the other residents are questionable. I can't believe the owner would allow this to happen, but apparently doesn't care. Piles of dog droppings were also evident. Go right by this one.

We called early in the day to ask about any sites open. The guy said "we have plenty come on down!" We arrived at 5:30 pm and the sign said they were open until 6:00 pm. We called the number and he said to just drop the money in the box and find a site. So we did! There were 3 sites where he told us to go to. The camper next to the site was a full timer and had dog poop everywhere. We hooked up and locked our doors. You have to pull in straight and back out to get out. No pull thru that we could see.
It is a passport America CG it is only $17 but if you plan on staying longer keep driving.

Booked this park from passport america and was aware of the bad reviews. But we saw the last review was over 2 years ago and we noticed the owner responds to most of the reviews. I was hoping maybe they read the reviews and tried to fix the issues. This was not the case. We saw a lot of big dogs running loose. We even had dog poop right by our front door. There was broken glass by the laundry and trash out everywhere. We were willing to look past the appearance of this park and suck it up for a week but it got even worse. We saw open drug use and someone even nodded off in their car with all the doors open. We had to leave immediately as we did not feel safe. We really wanted to give this park a chance and we are not picky when it comes to parks but this park was not a safe place to be.
The only upside was it had really good cell signal for wifi. We work from the RV and that was why we originally booked this park. The owners were nice but we only spoke to them on the phone. We moved to Deer Run Rv Park that is only 15 minutes away and is absolutely beautiful!

I’m glad it was only $17 (Passport America). Lots of full-timers here, pretty run-down. It was fine for one night. There were some pull through spaces down by the lake. No shade, lots of ants. Big rig friendly-be sure you enter through gate #3!!

Nice RV park. Owners are very personable. WiFi signal better if you park near the front office.
