Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 13, 2023This is a fairly new resevoir and camping area created by four counties on Route 156, just west of Jetmore. It's north of Dodge City and about 60 miles south of I-70. This resevoir did not show up on Apple Maps nor on the commerical map I had of Kansas. It did show up on Google Maps. There is a website and many articles about the reservoir on the web, so it does exist.
This is Kansas, so there are not a lot of trees yet. They have planted trees at each of the spacious campsites. Many sites are pull through. Many of the sites come with sunshelters over the picnic tables but not all, not sure why not. Even if you are not on the water, you have water views. There is a separate area for tents on the grass, as well as an area for dry camping. Trailer area is fairly flat gravel and comes with water and electric. It may have sewer, but I can't remember since we don't need it. There is a dump station too.
This is a popular place to fish and boat. We were here mid-week in early June and it was very quiet.
Being so new the bathrooms are modern and clean. One ding for trash on the ground here and there, that you could tell had been there for awhile. It was not a lot, but enough for us to notice it and pick it up.

The pricing is not like it reads on the sign. It says $10 per night with no utilities. And $15 a night with utilities.
Fact is it’s $10 for any site and an extra $15 if you want utilities. So it’s actually $10 to dry camp and $25 to camp with utilities...
Plus it’s an extra $5 for vehicle parking.
So $30 per night unless you dry camp.
It’s a nice place, well kept and clean..
Fire ring and covered picnic tables..
Electric, water and sewer at the sites. Plus a dump station at entrance...

Full hook-up drive thru site on a small reservoir. Post-labor day quiet with only a few sites actually occupied. Some sites were “summer rentals” for boaters.
Overall great stay with a level concrete pad and fully functioning full hook-up.
