“Noccalula Falls cascades over 90 feet into the Black Creek ravine”
Paved walking trails wind through the Park proper starting at the Admissions Pavilion.. In the park are beautiful rocks and gardens with an array of shrubs and flowers that may be viewed as you walk the park’s paved trail system or rest your feet as you ride on the authentic Huntington miniature train. The park also offers a children's Petting Zoo, Pioneer Village. picnic pavilions, souvenir shop, and a children’s playground. Noccalula Falls Miniature Golf Course, for a separate admission, features beautiful landscaping with cascading waterfalls and natural rock formations. The campground offers primitive tent camping to pull-through with complete hook-ups. A swimming pool, laundry facility, picnic pavilions, rec room, playground, and rental cabins are available. The campground sits along Black Creek Gorge and offers awesome views of the Falls, the gorge, and the creek below.

Great lunch stop with a beautiful waterfall and neat mythical story to it just a little ways from the interstate!
If you are up in the north Alabama area, don't miss Noccalula Falls. Even if you're not going to camp, the falls are a sight to see.
The campground itself is really nice. Its a bit old and the sites are laid out strangely at times, but it is beautiful with lots of trees and walking trails. Most sites have fire rings and picnic tables but they can be difficult to figure out which table belongs to which site. They have a nice camp store, coded entry gate after 10pm, a book exchange and laundry facilities. There is a volleyball court as well. The sites are spacious and very shady. They also have Wi-fi and full hookups. Staff was excellent upon checking in.
The falls are at the entrance to the park and spectacular. Keep in mind that there is a Noccalula Park and Noccalula Campground that are located about .1 miles away from each other. The park itself is where the falls actually are, but you can get to them from the campground as well. The park has a ton of cool activities for the kids including a petting zoo, lion habitat, train ride, and mini golf. Patriots park is very close too. There is a Jack's in walking distance for a quick bite.
If you stay you should definitely go into downtown. Its a beautiful little town with a very nice main street. There is great beer brewed at Back Forty brewery and excellent pizza almost next door at Blackstone pub and eatery.

We have been here several times for FROG (Forest River Owners Group) Rallys. Site cost varies with services 30A or 50A, E/W vs FHU. 7th night is free. Campground is on sloping ground. Most sites are level concrete pad. WIFI is iffy in some areas. Some water services are in a shared water vault so hook up may be on the wrong side for some users. Advisable to have extra water hose, sewer hose and coax cable. Electric hook up is not normally a problem. Make sure you can reach the services before you unhook. Plenty of shade. Nice pavilion for group functions and dining hall next to the office. The falls are nice after a good rainfall but sometimes is only a trickle. There is a train ride, mini golf, a museum, and petting zoo. Nice bath house and restrooms. Restaurants, fast food, grocery store nearby. Campground is gated and separated from the park. All around a great place to stay.

This was my first campground I have ever stayed at. The campground was always well kept and the staff was very friendly and informative. I liked it so much I ended up staying for 3 months. I would definitely come back here again. Monthly rates were the best.

Tree-shaded, secure (gated), FHU sites in a city park right in town with a very helpful staff, a picnic pavilion, community rooms, a wedding chapel, a picturesque waterfall, and summer rides and a petting zoo for the kids are the positives. Deteriorating concrete RV pads; narrow, sloping, too-short sites; broken utility connections; and winter closures of most of the park attractions are the negatives. Just a little better maintenance and site reconstruction would make this one of the most attractive city-owned campgrounds in the South! The rate is with the senior discount.

City owned park maybe ten minutes off the freeway. We should have stayed an extra day, the city MTB trails are adjacent, a fantastic walking/gawking park surrounding Black Creek. Also the Christmas display with lights and the little train Our site was perfect even pulling in with the toad. The rate was ridiculous. We will def stay here again, maybe explore the Gadsden area. Huntsville is a reasonable driving distance. The park may seem a bit dated, but everything is impeccably maintained.

We arrived after the sun had set and our first impressions were not great. The spaces were small compared to other parks we had been on this trip. However, the next day the place had redeemed itself with beautiful forest and the waterfall we had come to see. As we explored the park we found great trails for hikes and things we needed in town were within a 15 minute drive. We were here for 4 nights and the AT&T service was good, enabling me to work my 8-5 job without issue.

The good:
Price. Bathhouse is awesome. Full hookups and dump station. A "playground"-not-dogpark (it is a crappy playground but a great dog park despite the signage lol). Amazing nearby trails for hiking, running, or MTB. Laundry for $1.00 wash and $1.00 dry in commercial machines (with a sign saying they don't have commercial machines?). Staff is super friendly.
The meh:
You may need extensions for the hookups depending on the site. What the rules say is allowed vs what the staff allows is *very* different (guest policy, etc.). Some sites can be a bit difficult to maneuver a big rig into (free entertainment though) and very few pull through sites. No online booking, but makes it easier to get a spot last minute.
The bad:
They advertise wifi but it does not reach whole park. You are packed in so tightly your patio will at least have shade from your neighbor's slides.

Great campground but be warned spots are very close together and roads are washed out and rough. We came in mid February and almost all of the water/electric only (no sewer) sites were available. Sites with sewer were pretty much full. But there is a dump station available which seems rarely used. Showers were clean but I didn’t have much hot water… warm at first then kind of chilly. Great 5G Verizon service. Beautiful waterfall and nature trails of course. Even though there is a map detailing all the trails, when you’re actually on trail it is very difficult to tell where the trail is. There are few signs and small pink flags that are hard to spot. Lots of graffiti :(
