Absolutely incredible. We were repeatedly touched to tears. I would give it far more than 5 stars if I could. The scope of the projects extends far beyond the sculpture: there is a whole complex planned. There are already lots of exhibits to learn more about Native Americans and the sculptor, his home and studio. Definitely watch the introductory video to see how the mountain has been shaped.

Most Indian museums are about the terrible history of geocide by the hands of immigrants, this one doesn't avoid those truths but it is primarily about pride and hope for the future of indigenous people and what Native American culture has to offer the world. Henry Standing Bear is my new hero.

Unimpressive. I had looked forward to it, but I was let down. It's a collection of buildings with stuff in them, not well maintained or organized. Not necessarily authentic either. No staff around the town, and next to no information about what the buildings represent, where they came from, what is in them.

One of our favorite stops on a trip of over 1000 miles so far. There is SO much more here than can be seen from the road, with most sculptures accompanied by original poetry as well, and the artist on site. This is an experience that will stay with you long after you've gone.
