Bogue Chitto State Park is wonderful, well maintained, and peaceful. We had a great weekend stay, and the weather was perfect. Take the time to explore the beach on the river.

We really enjoyed hiking (it has many trails) and the beach. I enjoyed sitting along the lake in the mornings. My son really enjoyed the splash pad. Bathrooms were clean. Park has a great disc golf course, mountain bike trails, and horse trails.

Stayed in Bottomlands campsite Bottomlands, site 104. No shade. Evening sun shines under awning. Site 103 has better water view and awning faces East, but no shade. Site 105 has shade in the afternoon but cant see water from awning side. Back-in site with asphalt parking, picnic table, BBQ pit, and fire ring. 15A/30A (dont remember if it had 50A) and water; no sewer hookups. Not much shade in the campsite. The site is located on the lake, but the woods block most of the view. Nearest neighbor was at least 20-30 ft. Away. Roads in the park were asphalt.

AT&T had poor service, but Verizon was good. No WiFi.

We camped in a Travel Trailer. Would definitely stay here again and bring kayaks next time. The park has a put in and take out landings on the river.

Bogue Chitto State Park is wonderful, well maintained, and peaceful. We had a great weekend stay, and the weather was perfect, except for one eventing of rain. Take the time to explore the beach on the river.

We really enjoyed hiking (it has many trails) and kayaking the lake at the Day Use Area. My son really enjoyed the splash pad. Bathrooms were clean. Park has a great disc golf course, mountain bike trails, and horse trails.

Stayed in Uplands campsite 21. Site had lots of space, but is sunny during the day. Late afternoon sun shines under awning because door side faces west. Back-in site with asphalt parking, picnic table, BBQ pit, and fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water and sewer hookups. Not much shade in the campsite. Nearest neighbor was 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were asphalt. Campground road is in need of some repair. Recommend sites (in order): site 31, 23, 28, 24, 30. 30-31 are near extra parking. AT&T had poor service, but Verizon was good.

Would definitely stay here again. The park has put in and take out landings on the river.

River Falls at the Gorge is a great private RV park near Tallulah Falls, GA. We stayed 3 nights. Many of the sites have some shade. Some of the park streets are asphalt and others gravel/dirt. Some of the roads are a little narrow but I was still able to easily navigate. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly.

Amenities include: swings, volleyball, horseshoes, playground, pool, arcade, fishing, river.

Stayed in pull-thru campsite #A28 which was somewhat shady but very level, especially front to back. It was a gravel site with grass on either side. There was plenty of parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are very close. The site included: picnic table on concrete. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric on side. Water on side, good pressure. Sewer on side with 4 screw-on fitting.

AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 2 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 12 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 12.5 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up. No WiFi.

Would stay here again, but recommend section B along the river.

The park is very nice with numerous amenities. Kids really enjoyed the lazy river, miniature golf, and beach volleyball. Not much shade in the campsites. Food was inexpensive. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the lake in the mornings. The noise from the interstate was a small detraction. Bathrooms could have used a little more attention. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ida destroyed the floating obstacle course which was the attraction my son was most eager to try. The pools were a little cool during the day for my blood since the overnight lows were in the upper 50s. Didnt seem to bother the kids.

Stayed in campsite 82 which had a nice grass area on the passenger (door/awning) side of our RV. Concrete parking with patio area, picnic table and fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. The free WiFi throughout the park was adequate for checking emails, surfing the web, etc. (1.5 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up).

Full signal strength from AT&T (tower nearby). There is an Exxon gas station and Sonic just outside the entrance.

This is a place I will take the kids 1-2 per year since its just over an hour from our house and we had a lot of fun. We camped at Reunion Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is my first stay at Paradise Ranch. I had pretty high expectations based upon their website and feedback from friends. Note: Apple Maps and RV Life GPS will route you to the old park entrance which is closed. The new entrance is about 200 yards further east along Hwy 48. The sign at the entrance is off the road and you could miss it if you dont pay attention.

Checking in, the lady gave me poor directions to my site. It was unclear where to turn after entering the gate and she routed me where I would have to back-in to my pull-through site. Signage is rather poor.

A very hard rain storm came through as we were setting up. Had to go in the RV and wait out the rain. Afterwards, I noticed a number of the campsites and roads were flooded with a few inches of water. Some of my neighbors RVs were surrounded by water for a little while until it could drain away. Fortunately, my site did not flood.

The entrance road is concrete, but all of the roads within the park are gravel or dirt. Some sites have concrete pads, especially near the Lagoon. We stayed in pull-through campsite #P85 which was not shady and not very level. It was a gravel site with grass on either side. There was enough parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are close. The site included: picnic table on grass and fire bowl. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric in the middle of the site. Water in the middle, good pressure. Sewer towards the front with 4 screw-on fitting. I know they area I camped in is newly expanded and only opened up a few months ago. Im sure it will improve over time.

Bass Lake (onsite) is beautiful. The BL campsites are shady. I would probably stay along the lake if I came here again. There is an area near the lake where you can see (and pet) the red stag deer. There are also some hogs wandering around the lake that you can pet.

The Lagoon area has a lot of shade, except for the pool, of course. The pool is large and also incudes a kiddy pool, volleyball area, and floating trampoline. We were disappointed to find the zip line mentioned on their website was taken down (apparently for safety reasons). There was a good live band on the stage Saturday night. They also had a number of activities for the kids throughout the day. We enjoyed the water gun wars most. Some of the camp staff also participate. If you stay in a Lagoon campsite, I recommend one on the west side as they are a few feet higher in elevation than those on the east side. There was standing water around the sites on the east side after the heavy rain.

AT&T had 4 bars of LTE and Verizon 1 bar of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 298 Mbps down, 28 Mbps up. No WiFi.

Stayed 3 nights in July. Would probably stay here again, especially if a group of friends wanted to go. Paradise Ranch is about 107 miles from home, a bit far for a weekend trip.

Amazing views from this dispersed campsite. Stayed here in a tent in July 2015. Gorgeous view of the lake and mountains from the door of our tent and site. Obviously no power or utilities.

Pettibone is a nice park on an island in the Mississippi River in LaCrosse. Being from Louisiana it was cool to camp right beside the Mississippi River since we have levees between us and the river. We stayed one night on our way to Minnesota. There is plenty of shade. The park streets are asphalt with two concrete strips for your tires in the sites. The park was quiet except when someone decided to shoot fireworks between 10-11 pm. A little pricey at $54 considering there were no sewer hookups.

Stayed in pull-through campsite #308 which was shady. It was a grass site with two concrete strips for my TT tires. There was more than enough parking for my TT and truck and grass on either side. The site included: picnic table on a concrete pad. Utilities were located in the rear. 20A/30A electric and water. Site was a little unlevel. Neighbors are close. AT&T had 2-3 bars of LTE and Verizon 1 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 146 Mbps down, 4.8 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 016 Mbps down, 0.14 Mbps up. Free WiFi.

Would stay here again. We camped at Pettibone Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Pontchartrain Landing is nice RV park. We had a great weekday stay in late December and the weather was nice. Its not far from downtown New Orleans. When you first get off the Interstate, the area looks abandoned and a little sketchy, but it is ok. Apple Maps guided me right to the park. Facilities were clean, but gave it 4 stars on cleanliness due to the gravel roads/sites and dust everywhere. Park is fenced and gated for added security.

There is a restaurant and bar, but we didnt eat there. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the water in the mornings. The occasional noise from airplanes taking off from nearby Lakefront Airport was a small detraction. Playground was not much. Stayed in waterfront campsite #21, but view was partially blocked by houseboats. Disappointing for $89/night. Back-in site with gravel parking and a picnic table. No BBQ pit or fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. Site was pretty level. Awning faced north so we had some shade from the sun. There was a flower bed with palm trees between the sites. Not much shade in the park. The site is located on the water. Neighbor was at least 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were gravel creating some dust. Both AT&T and Verizon had good signal (3 bars each). AT&T Speedtest = 26.8 Mbps down, x 6.5 Mbps up. Free Wi-Fi is available at the office/restaurant and paid available it the sites. Did not use the Wi-Fi.

Overall, not impressed for the price, but would stay here again. We camped at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Capulin RV Park is a pretty nice private RV park across the highway from the Capulin Volcano National Monument entrance road. We stayed one night. Some of the sites are shady. The park streets and sites are crushed limestone. The park was clean and quiet. The sites are very close together; fortunately, it was not full and we had room. Restrooms and showers were clean (did not use shower). Amenities include: common fire ring with seating and view of volcano, swing with view of volcano. The staff was friendly.

Stayed in pull-thru campsite #25 which had evening shade and level. It was a crushed limestone site. There was barely enough parking for my 34 ft TT. Neighbors are VERY close. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric in middle of site. Water in middle of site, good pressure. Sewer in middle of site with 4-in screw-on fitting.

AT&T had two bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 36.6 Mbps down, 7.5 Mbps up. Free WiFi is available, but did not use it.

The town of Capulin, NM is very small. The closest restaurant is The Sierra Grande Restaurant in Des Moines, NM, which is open year round for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other restaurants and fast food are available in Raton and Clayton.

Would stay here again.

Camp Nauvoo is a nice, church operated, park only 5 minutes from downtown Nauvoo. We stayed one night on our way to Minnesota. The sites are sunny and all are pull-through.but some have shade. The park streets are gravel with concrete pull-through sites. The park is very quiet. Great value for $32. Full hookups. Receptionist was very friendly.

Stayed in campsite #10 which has no shade. It was a concrete pull-through with more than enough parking for my TT and truck and grass on either side. The site included: picnic table. Utilities were located in different spots. 20A/30A/50A electric in the middle, water near the rear, and sewer near the front. Site was level. No neighbor on passenger/awning side.

AT&T had 3 bars of LTE and Verizon 1 bar of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 56.8 Mbps down, 9.3 Mbps up. Free WiFi available, but I had trouble connecting.

Would stay here again. We camped at Camp Nauvoo in a Travel Trailer.
