Jimmie Davis State Park is wonderful, well maintained, and has a number of amenities. We had a great stay the days before Thanksgiving, and the weather was awesome. The fall leaf colors were spectacular. Caney Lake is clean and beautiful. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the lake in the mornings. Bathrooms were clean.

Stayed in campsite #52. Back-in site with asphalt parking, picnic table and fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, and water. No deck, sewer, Wi-Fi, and cable TV hookups. It has a large area on door/awning side. Awning faced west but the trees provided ample shade from the evening sun shining underneath. The spot is well spaced from other sites. The site is located near the lake. I wish the site had a paved patio or deck like site 51 and 54 on either side. Nearest neighbor was at least 30-40 ft. Away. Roads in the park were asphalt/concrete/gravel.

Both AT&T and Verizon had low signal (2 bars each). AT&T Speedtest = 16.8 Mbps down, 1.4 Mbps up. We camped in a Travel Trailer. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Jimmie Davis State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Percy Quinn is a nice state park on a lake. We had a great weekend stay, and the weather was awesome, a little chilly in the mornings, but otherwise great.

Bathrooms were clean reasonably clean. There was some damage in the one I used. Amenities include a fishing pier and boat launch near the campground. The playground and swimming pool are at the day use area which is a decent drive on the other side of the park. Be sure and hike the nature trail at the north end of the park. Part of the trail is a boardwalk through the swamp(but one section is in disrepair).

Stayed in campsite#6 which is on the lake. Back-in site with asphalt parking. The picnic table has concrete around it, but there is a 2 foot gap of dirt between the asphalt parking and the concrete. There is no BBQ pit or fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, and sewer hookups. Site was level side to side and had a slight slope front to back. Awning faced east so we didnt get the evening sun shining underneath. The spot is relatively shaded. Nearest neighbor was at least 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were asphalt. Campground roads were narrow and there were no signs at intersections in the campground indicting which loop to take for which campsite numbers.

Both AT&T and Verizon had weak signal(2 bars each) and slow data. No WiFi in park. Would stay here again. We camped at Percy Quin State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Chicot State Park is wonderful and well maintained. We had a wonderful weekend stay, and the weather was perfect. Take the time to drive around to the East Landing in the evening before sunset. It has one of the prettiest views of Chicot Lake. Also drive down to the South Fishing Pier below the South Campground. It has a long pier that goes out into the lake. My son spent a lot of time at the splash pad.

Be sure to visit the free La. State Arboretum onsite. It has a great visitor center with some fantastic exhibits and nice hiking trails.

Stayed in campsite #84. It has a nice deck with picnic table. BBQ grill and fire pit are on the other side of the RV spot. Even though it is in the front, it is actually quite secluded with woods all around. Nearest neighbor was at least 40-50 ft. Away. My son could easily walk or ride his bike to the splash pad. Both AT&T and Verizon had poor signal (1 bar each). Was able to connect to the free park Wi-Fi. It was slow, but I could send text messages and make the occasional phone call. Wasn't a big deal, because I came here to camp and get unplugged. We camped at Chicot State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pontchartrain Landing is nice RV park. We had a great weekday stay in late December and the weather was nice. Its not far from downtown New Orleans. When you first get off the Interstate, the area looks abandoned and a little sketchy, but it is ok. Apple Maps guided me right to the park. Facilities were clean, but gave it 4 stars on cleanliness due to the gravel roads/sites and dust everywhere. Park is fenced and gated for added security.

There is a restaurant and bar, but we didnt eat there. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the water in the mornings. The occasional noise from airplanes taking off from nearby Lakefront Airport was a small detraction. Playground was not much. Stayed in waterfront campsite #21, but view was partially blocked by houseboats. Disappointing for $89/night. Back-in site with gravel parking and a picnic table. No BBQ pit or fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. Site was pretty level. Awning faced north so we had some shade from the sun. There was a flower bed with palm trees between the sites. Not much shade in the park. The site is located on the water. Neighbor was at least 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were gravel creating some dust. Both AT&T and Verizon had good signal (3 bars each). AT&T Speedtest = 26.8 Mbps down, x 6.5 Mbps up. Free Wi-Fi is available at the office/restaurant and paid available it the sites. Did not use the Wi-Fi.

Overall, not impressed for the price, but would stay here again. We camped at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.
