So much for people "not living" here. It is not regulated that people move on in 14 days.
It has become more and more apparent that those that work near here and are unable to afford housing are living here. Especially up front by the highway.
(It is very unfortunate that this is our current situation in this country)
Beware, folks will roll up on your camper at 10 pm at night and not care that they are basically parking in your back pocket because they just worked a double and don't feel like going further in.
The road in is pretty rough and your rig will get bounced around some. As with any dispersed camping. My site up front was very unlevel. It is the choice that I made. I was there to meet with a mobile RV mechanic to help be get back on track. Otherwise I would have searched out another location.

Beautiful park. I made a few mistakes when booking this reservation that were ALL my fault... I didn't read the alerts that the National Ironman Competition was going on here while I was staying and that the park would be essentially closed for access in/out from 8:30 am to 6 pm on that day. MY BAD. I also didn't realize that I booked a site that didn't have electric. I can do without the water and sewer for a week or so. But the power in the heat that can crop up in the late afternoon is an issue when your traveling with a dog that you would like to leave behind... SO AGAIN, all on me!!!
MAKE SURE YOU ARE BOOKING WHAT YOU WANT DURING THE TIME OF YEAR AS THE PARK HAS MULTIPLE ELECTRIC & NON-ELECTRIC SITES.
The park is stunning. The other thing that I didn't realize fully is that the park was really restricted with dog and mountain biking access. Only a handful of the trails where accessible to the dog and my bike... I was there to hang with both... so it had me changing from 6 nights to 2 nights.
Staff here is wonderful.
They keep a beautiful park. The facilities are clean & bountiful.
I have nothing bad to say about the park. It was more what I was vs wasn't looking for that had me changing my plans.
Site SC21 has AMAZING views.

Easy access from Flagstaff. Your on the east side of town just off the highway.
The sites are clean and park well kept daily.
Love that your not going to see peoples LIVES strung out in the park. There are residents, but the sites are kept really well. You back up to a park and have instant access to trails galore.
Amenities were great.
I would totally go back!
Site manager was awesome also. She takes you via a cart to site. Shows you around. Is very clear on the do's and don'ts. And they are totally reasonable.... So I had a wonderful brief time there. Would totally go back.

I stopped off here on my way to Flagstaff to take the trailer for service.
Sites are clean and park is very well kept. You have awesome access to many trails in the park and the Verde River is also very accessible.
The dump station is very accessible, of course if your leaving while everyone else is leaving, then you will have to wait a bit. But that isn't a problem. Rangers are friendly and so are the camp hosts.
I would totally stay here again.
OH, and it was so quiet. No highway noise as you are well off the main roads.
I did not have to use the bathrooms here so I am unable to comment on that.
But that is one of the reasons why I got a camper with a bathroom...

This area is stunning! Quiet peaceful but not totally alone. The ranch head quarters is a great piece of history and there is awesome water available there.
Views are spectacular!
Will definitely come back if I am back in the area. Cell service was great also

Not what I expected. The room was ok, but the bathroom was very old & not as clean as what I can come to expect with Hilton. Actually the lobby was the cleanest part of hotel that I saw. The hotel had some significant construction going on. And the hall had multiple bags of garbage sitting in the hall. Like house keeping hit 5 pm and split.
And last, this area does not appear to be thriving and feeling safe after dark wasn't a feeling I was left with.

Very clean & comfortable. Stayed 2different nights in the last month as I was passing through. Reasonable, hot showers via tokens from office. Comfortable place for a single female traveling alone. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

The park was very well set up & maintained. The section of sites I was in weren't very spread apart but it was very comfortable.
The swimming area was great! I didn't get a chance to hike the trails or bike, would love to go back! Just an overnight stay for me as I was passing through.

The park facilities are clean and on the phone, they were very kind. Good place to stop over for the evening on my way through. Not a whole heck more to say.
