Site was quiet and peaceful. At least 25 sites with full hook up with private picnic tables and trash cans. More sites in progress. There was a nice playground. We did not locate showers and restrooms but we had full hook up so the stay was wonderful. Would definitely stay again

We stayed overnight on April 15th. The check-in was smooth and the pull thru site was easy peasy. We were charged an extra $20 for a vacuum breaker on April 17th. We did not hook up our water during the stay. We have a pressure regulator on the end of our water hose and would not have been able to hook up our water if we tried (in our experience vacuum breakers will squish the screen). The owners took the time to speak with me on the phone and indicated that the staff noted that the vacuum breaker was gone and this was their policy to charge for it. I plan to dispute the charges with the credit card. No resolution provided and evidently the owners are out a vacuum breaker :(

This was a great place to stop for the night. No need to unhook, just park, level and go inside the scarlet pearl. The wait for a table was a bit long, about an hour, but there was plenty to walk around and see while we waited for a table at Under the Oak. The night was quiet, parking lot was well lit and secure. Definately will stop again when passing through.
We arrived late about 11:30 PM. It was very dark and difficult to find the spots. There weren’t very many campers - about 4 campers/ tents for a park capable of holding 50+. It was very quiet and peaceful. We did not use the laundry service or the restrooms and showers but we’ve added lots of pictures. The kids played at the playground and had a wonderful time. We rode the train from Rusk to Palestine on Saturday which was a great experience for the kids but the train ride was too long - 4 hours.
