Site was quiet and peaceful. At least 25 sites with full hook up with private picnic tables and trash cans. More sites in progress. There was a nice playground. We did not locate showers and restrooms but we had full hook up so the stay was wonderful. Would definitely stay again

We stayed one night while visiting family. Our site was off of Hwy 281 enough that we barely heard any traffic. The park was nicely laid out and our pull through site was next to the damn of Little Lucy Creek. The signage in the park was excellent. The only criticism that I have besides no cell service at all (Verizon) is that when you enter the park there is a sign on the second entrance. The first opening is actually the exit. Better signage would help the confusion.

3.5 stars for this park. The place is called a rv resort but had zero resort amenities.
We stayed in a newer section right by the creek site 29 on the end. The sites are all white stone rocks that were pretty tightly packed and it was a level site. Our back on site was about 80 feet long and pretty wide.
There is no grass in this section, mostly weeds, not to dog friendly. There is a small area with a swing area for kids. We saw nothing that resembled a resort campground.
It was very quiet campground and mostly huge 5th wheelers but very quiet. It is a decent park for long term but nothing to do or see here. We did see a water mocassin in the creek and i killed a scorpion under my trailer. Red ants were a bit of an issue as well.
It is about 3 miles to lampasas. Nice quiet nights sleep and you could see stars at night as well. I would not be sitting outside after seeing and killing that scorpion so be mindful. I did not see anyone else sitting outside either so maybe that should have been a sign. Not many campers here either so there is plenty of space between you and the next guy. It is dusty and pretty boring but for long term, it may be ok, for a weekend getaway I would pass it by.

Gravel, level sites w/FHU's. Signage is lacking/confusing just to get into the right driveway, make sure you go to the one you drive under the sign post with the resort name on it. Interior roads are gravel, in fair condition, but needs better signs directing to all the sites. There is nothing as far as activities at the park, Killeen (civilization) is almost an hour's drive away. This is a good stop-over park, not really a destination park. Our Verizon (iPhones) wifi & Starlink wifi were problematic; Starlink probably due to the bad weather we had. The phones' Verizon wifi only worked once we got onto the highway outside of this park. This is the sole reason we would not choose to stay here again.

We stayed here one night in a 35' 5th wheel. We stayed in the parking lot area which didn't protect us from the sun much. The spot we had was pretty level. Full hook ups. The water's taste wasn't the best I've ever tasted. Over all if I had to do it again I would try to get a spot in the other areas of the park not the parking lot area.

We needed a place halfway between Harlingen and Western Oklahoma. The online reservation and check in were just what we needed. It was nice to be able to pull in just as it was getting dark with very good instructions on how to get to our spot. Spot 42 was very easy to pull straight into and level enough to leave our pick up hooked up so the next morning all we had to do was unplug from electricity and head out, we will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to South Texas.
