Love that this dump is free and easily accessible whether coming into town or leaving. Located on the edge of the gas station very near the diesel pumps so if you're towing a large rig you could block entrance/exit of the diesel pumps. No signage to indicate direction so we realized after we started dumping we should have come in another way so we had to back up to leave. Clean, worked well. Had to use our own hose but not an issue for us.

Appreciate the free dump but no potable water and dump riser is too high so hoses don’t drain properly and end doesn’t fit properly so took two of us to dump. Easy access from both sides.

CALL THE PARK AHEAD AND RESERVE if you want to stay on a weekend. We arrived on a Thursday mid-day and the campground was empty so we chose a site (no reservation tags were on any sites). At the self-register kiosk (no attendant at gate) it said to call and make sure site was available so I did. Unfortunately 6 of the 7 sites were booked starting Friday for the weekend except G, which is adjacent to the trail head. Park rep on the phone said there should have been reservation tags on the sites, which did finally happen...Friday at 12:30 pm. We spent Thursday night in site C then moved to site G on Friday and the trail got VERY busy early early (6 am) Saturday morning. It was busy all day but we were in and out and then it was VERY quiet at night. The person who had reserved site C never showed up all weekend (frustrating).

This park was stunning in late February and so peaceful during the week (except for the occasional jets from Luke which my husband enjoys) and at night. There are lots of hiking trails, birds, and flowers in late February. We had 2 bars of Verizon at site C (good enough for emails) but only 1 bar at all the other sites and basically nothing at site G. Sites are level and gravel with concrete tables, a fire pit, and BBQ.

Would definitely come back with a reservation or mid-week!! The campground was built in 2015 and is about 3 miles from I-10 and most major shopping (i.e., Walmart). Restrooms are onsite but no hook-ups or water available so come prepared.

Great peaceful stop on our travels from Idaho to Nevada. Plenty of room for our 35’ 5th wheel. A small truck camper joined us with an occasional vehicle in/out for a bathroom break. Restrooms were clean, cement picnic tables, and fire rings. We had to add a few blocks on one side to level but didn’t need to unhitch. Some ground stickers but not bad. Could use some weeding. Saw a worker from the building on-site adding toilet paper to restrooms.

Verizon weak but calls/texts and social media worked.

Easy access with our 33’ 5th wheel. We entered at the north driveway and pulled right up with the dump on the correct side of the trailer (dump is on south side of rest area). Thanks for helping to keep the desert clean!!

Awkward location of dump but we made it work for our 35’ 5th wheel. Good Sam discount of $2.50 off the $10 price. Go inside to pay and get a code to open dump.

Pulled in on Saturday morning of Memorial weekend and plenty of sites available (no events). Campground is all the way in the back of the fairgrounds. Mostly level grass sites with 30/50 amp, water and sewer. Most sites back up to each other except on perimeter rows. Bathrooms on-site but no showers. Payment is by check or cash dropped in an envelope. Quiet; train horn could be heard in the distance but not too bothersome.

Close to the Hutchinson Salt Mine and Cosmosphere space museum. Grounds big enough to walk/bike ride if no events going on.

Grabbed a site last minute on a spring weekend with our Passport America (50% off nightly rate). Only 3 miles from historic Mineral Wells. Park is on a busy road that mostly quiets down in the overnight hours.

Most sites are permanent residents who are quiet and friendly with pull-thru FHU sites mixed in for travelers. There are also cabins throughout the park. 2 small washers and 2 dryers on-site that worked well. We did not use the showers/bathrooms. Friendly manager lives on-site. Our site had sufficient space so we didn’t feel crowded but also small pieces of plastic trash scattered around and painful stickers.

Verizon worked okay (slow at times), park WiFi worked well.

We are Elks members so sought out this lodge, which also allows non-Elk members to camp for $35/night ($30 for Elks). Check in/pay at bar, which opens at 4 pm. We arrived on mid-day on a Friday when they were still installing all new electrical (30/50). One site was finished (we took it) and by the next week all were done and more rigs began arriving. Water is also available at each site. Dump station across the street at the Exxon for $5 or free with fuel fill-up.

9 sites available all back in and large enough for any size rig. Gravel sites behind lodge with some grass and views in back of the local city airport (small planes). Very basic nothing fancy. Local traffic noise during day, quiet at night.

Great location to access all the area has to offer - Glacier NP, Whitefish Lake, Flathead Lake, and historic downtown Kalispell.

This was a last minute choice since our original destination (Boundary campground) was full on a Monday afternoon arrival in mid-September. Read all the great reviews for this area but besides being free and close to town, the daily traffic (at least two dozen trucks/vans/cars on some days) and dust it brought going up/down the road would prevent us from staying here again. The pullout areas to camp were next to the road and the traffic would speed giving little consideration to our campsite (two VERY large rigs and trucks). There is better boondocking in the area up hwy 75 in the SVRA (we visited some friends and their site was much better).
