Small church owned campground sandwiched between a busy road and a small muddy river.
Lovely trees. Bathrooms are basic, old and very clean with lots of hot water. mainly families were there. parking is on the grass. the lady that registered us on the phone said the usually require 2 nights but we could stay one night. town is lovely

This is a very small campground. Great tent camping been along the shores of the new river. There were six sites for RVs etc. it was all dry camping. Fantastic hiking along glade creek. I recommend only small campers with RVs 25 feet or less to make it into this campground. Very large campers driving in will call for nerves of steel!

Clean park with spotless bathrooms and plenty of hot water. Pleasant efficient staffs.
Major issue was strong refinery smell in air and for that reason we will not come back

Gorgeous setting with great sites. Super hosts. Only showers in park are coin operated, warn at best and located in the big Rv village.

The drive down was easy for us since we only had an RV that was 15 feet long. It would be very intense if you had a large camper. The Cataloochee valley is stunning and the wildlife is numerous. Great trails to hike on. The host was amazing and we enjoyed our time despite rain

We are driving through so staying only one night. It’s a Monday night and there are plenty of spots available, but I am told this last week end filled up.I wish we could stay longer to ck it out. Park rd is 10 mi long. Many trails. Bathrooms dated but spotless. Open year around.

If you have a family this is a great place to come. Many things to do. But we were only passing through. Restrooms were clean and house were available. I personally prefer to stay in the national parks compared to this huge and busy park. It’s very pretty and well manicured.

Sand dunes everywhere. Winter storm was on its way so we left after 1 night. High winds would make this campground a nightmare due to the sand.

Sand dunes every where. Like the dunes on Lake Michigan! Otherworldly feeling about the place.
