Unfortunately it was unseasonably too hot (avg temp in middle of June was 106) and there is no shade. The sites are too narrow and no grass--it was all died! The mighty Colorado River is adjacent to the property and several families took advantage of the easy access a mile down the road.

The facilities are good--laundry, swimming pool, covered patio, and showers/bathrooms. The sites have full hook-ups (20/30/50A, sewer, and water) and in good shape. They run sprinklers twice a day which soaks all outdoors furniture and is a pain. The dog run and garbage is inconvenient for most. The staff were friendly, but not very helpful.

Although they are upgrading the camp (expansion), the staff was fantastic accommodating campers to make our experiences successful. The sites are superb with amenities, but a bit cramped.

Superb utilities (20/30/50A electric, sewer, and water) hook ups all on concrete pads and level. They also have 3 bath houses with showers/toilets to include a good size pool and laundry facilities. The general store is good, but the staff is what makes this park great---they really want to make you happy.

We were traveling to Colorado from California and will consider coming back to Salt Lake City and stay here--great service and great prices.

A great park with all the comforts of home. Spacious lots for big rigs and trucks. 15/30/50A service with water/sewer/cable at each site. Great facilities to include laundry heated showers, dog park and RV gas station with wash. The views are superb and free shuttle to casino!

1st trip in our new Flagstaff Trailer and Casini Park was a great location to start our new lifestyle. They have everything to include firewood delivery and a Honey Dipper right to your campsite. Right on the Russian River or 15-minutes to the ocean. Very friendly staff and tons of stuff to do in the RV Park or a short drive. We are planning a big family trip to Casini—journey on.

The resort park is nice. It has a lot to offer, but needs attention. The sites are too narrow and too close to each other. Water and 30A electrical on each site with a picnic table and fire grill. Dump station available and free honey dump (Mon-Wed-Fri) service.
Nice pool and picnic area. Kid playground area is fair. Fishing pond has stocked trout and no license required.
Restroom facilities are available but check hours of operation since they are different!
Staff are very friendly and helpful!
Open all year! Close to town and friendly! Full time security which is nice.

A great and well maintained state park. The park is in an ideal location and has so much to offer. Water and electrical were constant and plentiful. Dump station is easy access and clean. The rangers and volunteers were courteous and helpful. We have a truck and 30 foot trailer and had plenty of room . Bathrooms and showers are plentiful and warm! We will be coming back—plenty of wildlife in the area.

Our trip ran into problems and we had to find a location quickly and the USAF Academy Family Camp saved our butts! we had to relocate from Grand Junction to Colorado Springs during middle of June and the USAFA Staff came through for us in our time of need.

Unfortunately we had to relocate 3 times in 6 days which was inconvenient on us, but at least we got to stay at the same park! Several of the sites were narrow because of the trees and made backing in a challenge! But we overcame and made it work. The facilities like bathrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were superb! They even have propane service on site. The dog parks are open but spacious and our puppies really enjoyed them. The park is very clean. Check in/out was very easy.

Majority of the sites full hook-ups (20/30/50A) with water and sewer, but a few of the older sites only have 20/30A service. Make reservations early and the only issue is that the main office closes daily at 6PM, so you have to be checked in before 6pm.

We had a great time at American River Resort. They have everything to include a great location near Sutter’s Mill. The facility has everything from tent camping to large RV sites. Hookups are plentiful and no issues with utilities. Walking can be challenging since the site is very hilly. The fishing pond was a huge success with granddaughter and the dogs enjoyed the open space. We’re going back soon!
