This is a quiet, small little campground up in the cool forest on Boulder Mountain. Sites are packed gravel and right off the road. Clean vault toilets and drinking water. The campground is just south of a very nice visitor center on Boulder Mountain. There are some nice hiking trails nearby. The campsites are mostly back-in, and some have leveling challenges. The Forest Service site says not recommended for vehicles over 25 feet.

This is a great little stop if you enjoy a quiet and cool escape from the heat of red rock country. It is very convenient to Grand Staircase National Monument and Capitol Reef National Park. And if you go through Boulder, Utah, you must stop at Hell's Backbone Grill for some of the finest food anywhere!

This is a small little campground right off the Red Canyon road. It is in a large meadow with many poderosa pine trees. Some of the sites have shade. I chose a more open site for the solar. And it is truly right on the edge of the canyon. The walk-in tent sites are just feet from the canyon rim and have amazing views of the canyon and Flaming Gorge Reservoir. There is a nice Canyon Rim trail with many good lookout locations. Clean pit toilets, water spickets around the camground, and trash service. The campground is about 2 miles from the Red Canyon Visitor Center, a nice stop, open 9-6 from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There are also a few other campgrounds that are very close. I had no trouble finding a spot mid week in early July. The best thing is the quiet, and pretty good cell service if you need to work, or stay connected.

I love this campground, especially in the off season. The first of November is beautiful and the fall colors are just coming out. Zion National Park is spectacular, and the campground provides easy access to the park shuttle that runs until mid November.

All camp sites have electric, which is great as it gets chilly at night (you will want electric for the AC in the hot summer).

Reservations are a good idea, even in the off season, critical in the summer.

The first week of November is the annual Zion National Park Plein Air Art Invitational. Twenty five artist are invited to paint all week. There are many events, including several wet paint sales. Proceeds benefit the Youth and Art Programs in the park.

Great little campground after a crazy steep drive up the mountain. A beautiful setting in an alpine area, right near a lake with a small waterfall. Sites are small-ish and a little close together. This is above the tree line, so there is no shade or cover, but quite a bit of low growth between the sites, so they did not feel exposed. And some amazing views of the mountains and surrounding valleys. I did not have any trouble with my 16' trailer, however, anything longer that 24-25' would find limited space. And the drive up the mountain, although not long, is extremely steep and narrow. I only stayed one night while I was traveling across Nevada on I-80. I would definitely stay here again and would like to spend more time exploring the area and trails.

This is a beautiful and quiet campground about a mile off the highway. Several campsites are right on the river. This is near Island Park, ID and fishing is popular here so this campground can be busy, even mid week. The location is convenient to West Yellowstone, and Yellowstone National Park, both about an hour away. I lucked out with a cancellation and an amazing campsite with a view of the river. The campground is clean and tidy. Vault toilets, and the sites are well spaced for privacy. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. The campground is in Lodgepole Pine trees and many sites are shady. My site had morning and afternoon shade with enough sun mid-day to fully charge the solar. It was pretty incredible to fall asleep with the sound of the river right outside my trailer window.

This is a great BLM campground when traveling across central Oregon. Easy access off highway US20. I just stayed one night. Well spaced campsites, gravel pads, table, fire ring, clean vault toilets, and quiet. Plenty of level pull-through sites. There are also some more 'group' type sites closer to the water. No shade, so summer might be rough. Access to a small reservoir. Only $8.00, $4.00 with a senior parks pass.

This is a nice, quiet little campground near Sisters, Oregon. When I pulled in on a Saturday in mid October there were only 3 other campers. I stayed for the night on my way from the Oregon coast to home in Utah. The water was already shut off for the season. Sign says the campground will close October 24th.The sites are mostly (all) shaded with tall pine trees, so solar might be a problem. Some sites can be reserved and some are first come first serve. Looks like about 1/2 and 1/2. Several pull through sites and some back-in. Room for big rigs, but the campground road is very narrow in a couple spots, so just be careful. The sites are large and well spaced. Very clean pit toilets.
