A cool-looking statue of a miner, which can be found in front of a medical center for New Mexico miners. Whoever dubbed this statue the "RoboCop Miner" inadvertently saddled it with a nickname that promises to befuddle many (it looks nothing like RoboCop), which somehow makes this out-of-the-way memorial even cooler.

For those not into 19th Century poetry or 20th Century comic books, this attraction is better known as Giant Legs, but as the plaque on site clearly explains, this randomly placed art exhibit is a nod to the classic Shelley poem about the impermanence of man-made legacies. If that doesn't make sense to you, just enjoy the broken statue in the pasture. Unlike nearby Cadillac Ranch, the gate to this exhibit is wired shut, so anybody looking to make their mark with spray paint will require some fence-hopping chutzpah.

This Muffler Man turned NRA Spokesman is the epitome of the golden age of roadside attractions, with no other purpose than to provide people the opportunity to take photos and purchase souvenirs. Besides the large cowboy proclaiming his right to arm bears, three Cadillacs are jacked up in a visual reference to the nearby Cadillac Ranch, with mannequins resembling Elvis, John Wayne, and Willie Nelson at the wheel.

The world's Smallest Skyscraper is currently open to the public, and is occupied by a marvelous little antique store called Hello Again. Admission is free, but there's a donation jar at the top, as well as Shortest Skyscraper souvenirs and some very reasonably priced decor items to support them by purchasing. My wife bought a plate with a frog on it. I'm told it was a great deal.

The hardest part about finding the grave is that people keep stealing the grave marker. Previous visitors gave directions to look for a small slab with a UFO carved into it, but that and several other stones have since been pilfered. The latest marker is a giant piece of granite hopefully to heavy to abscond with, and it is covered with gifts ranging from pennies to a large toy battle ax. It's on the right side of the cemetery, near the front, under an old tree.
