This is the cleanest and best landscaped KOA we’ve ever stayed at.
Friendly staff😊
Having the option to have pizza delivered was a very convenient
Will most definitely be back!
October 2020 was our 2nd time here. The first time around we just looked at all the cool stuff on the outside. There’s a lot to see.
The second time around, we paid full admission to go inside.
We were disappointed at all the things our grandkids couldn’t do because of COVID but still enjoyed the exhibits.
The gravity ride was a bonus 😃
One of our favorite KOA’s
They know how to make you and your pets feel welcome 😊
Clean park. Friendly staff. Playground and walking trails.
They have a pool too, but we come early in the year when it’s not yet open.
This is our 3rd time staying here and will most definitely be back.
Terrible experience at this KOA
We booked our stay in the deluxe pull through site more than 9 months out and arrived to find that our site had been pulled and given to someone else 4 days earlier. We were put on a smaller site which meant we had to unhook our tow vehicle and where they put us was littered with cigarette butts and much smaller.
We requested a phone call from the owner but never heard from her.
We found out the next day that the same thing happened to someone else.
Apparently reservations and customer service mean nothing to the owner of this KOA franchise.
Love the Ranch Store and the prairie dogs! Will definitely be back
This campground is divided into 2 sections. We stayed on the side with water and electric which was pretty nice.
Our spot was great! #1 - it was surrounded by trees giving it a lot of natural privacy.
Some of the other spots in this section were too close together for our taste.
Walking distance to the beach makes it nice.
However, checking in and out in a large motor home was a bit inconvenient.
When we passed the first guard shack, we entered a main parking lot where at the time was really busy. We weren’t sure where to park for check in so we had to make our own spot which didn’t last long because there was another confused motor home parked near us and a shuttle bus trying to get through - kind of chaotic.
Check out is about the same because of where and how the dump station is situated.
Not the easiest to get too and then have to make a really hard turn to pull away from it.
I believe the sites and amenities for larger vehicles was an afterthought so they had to make do.
Overall, a nice place to stay
Great campground! Friendly staff.
Outdoor pool was still open in October and was heated - very nice.
Clean park. Lots of activities for the kids and close to the main attractions.
Campground has a very nice pond and playground. However, there are steep hills and the roads are poorly maintained.
