We only stayed one night on our way to South Dakota but was very impressed with this state park! We stayed in the Little Creek Campground. The campground was very well kept and most spots were shaded. We did not get to do a lot while we were there but saw that they had a waterpark, two lakes, kayaking, paddle-boats, a restaurant, ice cream shop, golf range , mini golf, and zip lining.
The best part for us was the great signal! We work online and had absolutely no problem. Download speeds were between 30-50 depending on the time of day and upload was around 10-11.

We were not actually able to stay here. The host informed us that since we had a portable waste tank we could not stay in the park. The park was small and spots were tight. I did check the internet before we left and I was only getting 6 download speed on Verizon. The host was also pretty rude when explaining to us why we could not stay. It would probably be okay to stay for a night or two as long as you don’t have a portable waste tank.

This place is amazing as a winter home base! The pools are incredible and there is a very beautiful garden area as well.
Verizon signal is good (60 download, 40 upload) except it can sometimes get congested on the weekend at night.
The staff is friendly and we haven't had any real issues the 2 months we've been here! We would definitely come back.

We were only in the area for one night but will definitely be coming back! This is one of the nicest free sites I’ve ever seen. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit. There was even firewood cut up already at our site. There is a vault toilet on site also. The roads had some potholes but we were easily able to get there still with our are vintage Shasta. It’s free if you have a National Parks pass, $5 a night otherwise. Highly recommend!

We stayed here while getting our South Dakota residency. It is only a few miles from Rapid City which made it a great location! It is also about an hour from Wind Cave National Park, Badlands National Park, and Mount Rushmore. The park is extremely well kept and the bathrooms were very clean! The owner was very nice and helpful at check in. The campground is more of just an open field, there is little shade, but all of the spots were very large. It is an RV Park rather than a campground but the price made it well worth it. Our price paid was using our 50% off with Passport America.
There was great signal here for working online. They have wifi but I did not try it I just used my own and got 30-40 download speed and 20 upload.

This spot was so beautiful and very private! We were here in January and were the only people camping here at that time. Be careful in the winter as it does snow here and the road is very steep.
A lot of beautiful hiking in the area as well!
