$6.50 to do the Tower and the Boulder Park. It's the monument of two zany, artsy guys. There's great views, a cool gift store (very rare that I say something like that) and rock art. What's not to love? I imagine kids would love it too.

If you want some weird photos, this is the place to stop. I love zany, out of left field stuff like this, so it was neat. And it's seconds away from the Desert View Tower off the same exit.

You can swim in the Colorado River from this spot. There was a ton of other people but if you travel down the river a bit, you can find some privacy and enjoy cooling down in the water.

It's nice to pick up a shake in 108-degree weather, but if you don't like dates I don't recommend the date shake. They have lots of other flavors though and after an hour of nothing, it's good to take a breather.

This is so worth the 20 minute detour. It's amazing to see old art forms like this. If you like history, art or indigenous culture, you'll love this stop. I encourage you to pay the $2/person fee as well.
