Highly recommend! Be sure you take the 240hwy to get the BEST views
My husband is a fan of the Man in Black so we had to make the stop. Unfortunately the visitor center is closed on Sunday so we decided to do a drive by the house instead. The house is located 5 minutes off the highway on a dirt and gravel road. A little adventure driving down the road. The house is restored by the Arkansas State University. They did a great job. Great stop!
Gave it only 3 stars since the museum is closed on Sundays but it looked great. Would have loved to go thru it
Impressive and HUGE amount of sand ( 5 billions cubic ft ). Up close you can see how high the dunes are
The PaInted Desert and Petrified Forest is definitely a must see especially if you’d never seen a petrified forest. This was my first time and was amazed that millions of centuries ago this was a lush green forest. The painted desert is beautiful and colorful and kept thinking how amazing this would look at sunset.
