FYI This is in the wrong location on the roadtrippers map. It is actually a little south on Stony Point Drive (222). This is an absolutely beautiful spot to swim, look for cool rocks, or just sit. It has amazing rock ledges that the water has worn smooth and a water view that seems to just melt into the horizon. Another North Shore Must See!

Beautiful small black rock beach with crystal clear water. I believe the black beach is a result of the iron ore processing plant up the road due to the rocks magnetic nature. Defiantly worth the trip to see. There is another small beach on the same road that is not made of the small black rock so make sure you keep going until the road ends to make it to the right spot. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Red Pine Campground is a lovely, quiet, large campground that is about 15 minutes from downtown Duluth. Sites are clean and level with full hookups, wifi, fire ring, and picnic table. The facility has 3 large ponds you can fish out of with a few kayaks and paddle boats, playground, and laundry. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone. We will gladly go back.
