Easy access off I-80. After a day of driving through Nebraska in torrential rain we were glad to get quickly to our pull-through campsite - thanks Kamp hosts. It rained and stormed all night and we left early the next morning, so didn't even get a chance to explore the camp. Lots of big trees and adequate spacing between the sites. Very quiet (apart from the thunder).

Standard W/S/C/E 30/50 amp Pull-through. Most sites in this resort seem to be occupied by long-term residents. The only available sites for transit customers were basic pull-through on level gravel. These sites are very close together and offer little privacy. The campground is nicely landscaped with mature shade trees and provides occupants with good clean laundry facilities. The resort is about 10 miles from the sports stadia, 25 miles from the Fort Worth stockyards and 35 miles from downtown Dallas. Shopping mall and fast food restaurants within walking distance.

As others have noted, Morefield campground has areas that are overgrown and sites that appear abandoned. The Wifi is spotty but cell service is adequate, but if you are visiting a National Park you're not there for connectivity, you are there for beauty, quiet, stillness and night skies filled with stars. Even in July we were happily surprised at small crowds in Mesa Verde compared to the bigger parks such as Grand Canyon and Yellowstone.

We stayed here back in April 2019 based on the recommendation of someone we had met in Big Bend, and we are so glad we did. Our electric site was in the recently refurbished Juniper camp area, where the sites are widely spaced and during the week relatively empty. SO quiet, beautiful during the day and dark (for star gazing) at night. Great hikes and things to see. Fascinating history. No WiFi and sporadic cell service - but who needs it. Would definitely come back.

There is a dearth of campsites with hookups in the Western Utah/Eastern Nevada area, so we were glad to have such a pleasant experience at Minersville Lake Park (a Beaver County park). I had originally booked a back-in site overlooking the lake (#23) but the camp host called to let us know that we would have to use a different site due to construction repairs, so we ended up choosing a pull through (#31). We stayed a Monday night in mid-September 2021, so the park was not crowded (<50%) and therefore very quiet. Campsites are on gravel, reasonably level but slope down towards the lake have shade structures and picnic tables, W/E and access to the dump station. we observed that for some sites the utilities were awkwardly placed. There were a few fishermen using the lake, but the water level was quite low because of drought conditions.

When we made our reservation to stay in Custer State Park back in February there was only one site available in the Blue Bell campground for the (admittedly high season) dates we wanted in July, so we had no choice in location. Our site was in the center of the wooded campground, but the spacing between sites is good enough to provide privacy. The only downside is the close proximity to the horse stables and the associated flies. The park rangers presenting the evening programs were young, energetic and passionate about the outdoors - great to see. Custer State Park, and the surrounding Black Hills is some of the most beautiful country in the US, so it's no surprise that it is an attractive destination. Even so the are is not overcrowded and we really enjoyed exploring - one day we hope to return.

We stayed here in April 2019 on our way from Big Bend to San Antonio and are glad we did. We booked ahead and were able to select a lovely private electric/water site with awesome views to the SW and into Mexico. The site had a screen of low vegetation that attracted birds, a separate covered picnic table and BBQ. Sites are well spaced and the area of the campground around our site was quiet and very peaceful. We took a late afternoon walk along a well marked trail at the rim of Seminole Canyon and had the whole place to ourselves - it was magnificent. Had we had more time we would have taken the longer (6mi) trail down to the Rio Grande. The park is situated just south of busy Hwy 90 and sites on the northern side of the campground can see traffic and might hear noise. Park Wi-Fi was poor. Also - if you don't have a Texas State Park Pass ($70/yr) there is an extra charge of $4 per person per day.

We needed to find a camping location in the Morgan Hill area, and Uvas Pines was a good choice. The campground is well shaded with mature trees and not far from Uvas Creek. It is a quiet location and traffic noise from Uvas Creek road is minimal. To make a reservation I recommend calling the park's manager directly (888-566-7660) as she was most helpful and selected a good site to meet our requirements. Despite our late arrival everything (paperwork and detailed instructions, including COVID protocols) was in place at our site. Very happy with his park and would stay again. Big, level site with gravel pad.

Needing to break our journey in SW Kansas we stopped here based on a Campendium review and were not disappointed. Midweek in September the park is pretty much deserted (perhaps 8 - 10 other campers) and so we had a many sites with E/W hookups to choose from. Sites are well spaced and level and, if not on the lake, are close by and have fine views of the water. Pads are gravel but could become muddy. Cottonwood trees and other vegetation provide ample shade and we enjoyed a pleasant walk and lovely sunset. Judging by the number of reserved tags, the park is well used at the weekends, but for us it was a quiet oasis. There are showers and flush toilets in the modern bathrooms, but these buildings are open air (they have a cantilevered roof) and - at the time we used them - were not in very good shape.

We decided to camp here based on Campendium reviews and were not disappointed. The campsite is located on the banks of the Little Missouri river in, as the name suggests, a grove of cottonwoods. The sites are well spaced and are surrounded by vegetation. Some of the sites would be a tight squeeze for larger RVs, but #17 worked well for our 27' trailer. The campground is some 5-miles from the park entrance over a rather rough road, but the reward is peace and quiet in this remarkable corner of the world. We reserved our campsite ahead of time through recreation.gov so as to secure a large enough site, but we noticed that even in July there were many sites available.
