I don't think this is a place to spend more than one night unless you want to check out the Florida Capital historical sites. It's right off a major highway and there are many long term and maybe snow birds getting away from the north. As mentioned in other reviews, there are spectacularly large live oaks and most of the good sites around the perimeter are probably taken by the long term. One night pull throughs are for convenience only they are the closest sites. pull throughs 53-60 are super tight and close to each other. park and sleep. $58.00 is a bit high for this, so I would only stop here again when the state parks are all full.

We could only get a 3 night stay because this place books up a year in advance. The campground is just outside of Eastport, ME, the easternmost city in the US. The park has a wide shoreline where you look right out at Canada. They have only a few right on the water spots but the campground slopes up to most everyone has a beautiful view. We were lucky to have one to the best sites, 10A. 10A & 10B are close to each other but the angle gives you privacy. 10B has a really nice deck. The morning sunrise this time of year. Sept 1st was magical. There are Whales visible sometimes as well. We booked for a week next year for the second weekend in September when the Pirate Festival is happening in Eastport. Eastport is a great village to visit. Book the Windjammer whale watching cruise. Tons of fun.

Both Riverfront site and Isaac Creek sites. Some creek sites have fishing docks and lots of shade. Stayed here just one night to drive into Monroeville, AL to see the seasonal play, "To Kill a Mockingbird" easy drive into town and back. Will come back and stay longer in cool fall weather.

One of 4 overnight campers. Nice early May weather. Lake is up by office and has a beautiful overlook dock to watch the wild life. Showers could use some updating otherwise. Very nice place to stop along the way. No ATT cell service.

We stopped here on our way up north, the campground was just off the I-65 interstate. Rest rooms are dated but very clean. Owners live on the grounds across from the office. Super friendly folks. There are quite a few long time campers who work in the are but all well kept. Sites are really close together so very little privacy and if you are next to large RV with sliders, you may not get your awning out. Some sites larger and more spacious that others.

It was cold and windy during our stay but we will definitely come back and stay during warmer weather. Lots of great sites, well maintained and quiet. Several double sites available for sharing.

Beautiful trails and look out from Alabama’s highest point. There is a restaurant at lodge and wonderful old cabins on the bluff. Campgrounds need some bathroom updating but still ok. If you want quiet, check the NACAR schedule for Talledaga in April and October. The NASCAR fans and track noise may not suit your camping pleasures. October is beautiful time for color

If you want to see the most beautiful beach in North America, this area is it. Sugar white sand and emerald waters. The Campground has a long history and have been upgraded for full hook ups but the southern loop has no sewer hook ups but well worth a little sand and privacy. Try and get a site on the lake where you still hear the sound of the surf over the dunes. Close to lots of great restaurants and seaside activities.
