Campground was clean and quiet. Our site had nice water views and was easy to back into. However, touring the campground, we saw several sites that had odd angles and bad inclines to navigate. I would hate to try to back into some of these sites. Def check photos before reserving. Also, this campground is pretty remote. No grocery stores or other amenities nearby. Be sure to pack food for your stay; otherwise, you’re gonna have quite a commute to the nearest store. Would have given a better review if all sites were easy to get into and of there were more amenities nearby. The platform sites are def unique, though!

This is a small campground with not many sites. All are concrete pads with plenty of space. The bathroom and bathhouse is kept clean. There’s no hiking or much to do here, but the campground is right on the river, so fishing, boating, canoeing, or kayaking are all options. The town of Ashland City is nearby and so there are restaurants and shopping within driving distance. There are a few shaded sites, but most have little respite from the hot, Southern sun. There is a little playground that smaller children would enjoy. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Some road noise from the nearby bridge, but it never seemed too intrusive. Each site had a picnic table and a grill.

Plenty of space between sites. Some with concrete pads, some gravel. Definitely prefer the concrete. 10-15 sites are right on the river and those generally have longer “driveways.” The weekend we stayed, the host was a bit curt. Not rude, but not overly friendly, either. The layout of the campground is nice and flat. Very kid friendly in that we felt safe letting ours go “exploring” on their own. They’re never really out of sight. The bathroom/bathhouse is in desperate need of an upgrade, however. It’s kind of gross, if I’m being honest. Still, I would def come back. The river views and ease of access to water is great, and there’s a beach/swimming area nearby that’s seldom over crowded on weekdays. Cell coverage, for us at least, was spotty at best.

I understand that KOA campgrounds are generally more expensive, but they are usually consistently “just fine” campgrounds. This one was the most we’ve ever spent per night with very little in terms of return on investment.

•The Wibit obstacle course in the lagoon was woefully under inflated.
•The restaurant had a “pancake buffet” for $10 per person that consisted of microwaved pancakes and pre-packaged cereals.
•The bathhouse near our site was beyond gross. Of the 6 units available for use: one had a toilet that worked but a shower that didn’t. Another had a toilet that wouldn’t flush but the showe worked. The others were littered with insect carcasses and the water pressure was next-to-non-existent. I considered myself lucky if I got a semi-steady trickle of water.
•Having paddle boards and kayaks available for use was nice but the paddle boards were under inflated and the life jackets were moldy.
•WiFi worked well, which was good because we had zero T-Mobile signal.
•The staff that we encountered were all extremely nice and friendly, and the impression I got was that they were doing the best with what they had to work with. It wasn’t entirely their fault for the state of disrepair. For the money I can only assume the owners are raking in, they should be able to afford upgrades and repairs.

Love this resort. So does the family.

The bathhouses are well appointed and maintained, with nice tile work and fantastic water pressure in the showers (though the toilet stalls are a bit cramped).

The pool area is very nice. The landscaping is very well done and the pool, cold plunge pool, and hot tub are all well maintained and clean. The tile around the pool gets very slippery, though, and it could lead to some nasty spills if you’re not careful.

There are various food trucks set up nearly every day, and the coffee shop area has free WiFi which is nice because we get absolutely no cell coverage here. The campground has Wifi access throughout, but that is an extra charge.

This is our family’s favorite place to camp and try to make it here at least once a year.
