Good campground for an overnight stop. No staff on grounds. Must make reservation for site ahead of time but it appears it is a free for all if reservations are not at the park by 7:00pm since sign at entrance says must make reservation before 7:00 but after 7:00 just choose a site. Not great if you are arriving late and someone is on your site.
Close to interstate but not too noisy. The night we were there (3/19/22) the park was full and the campground sites were level and relatively well kept. Non-existent washroom/shower facilities - one small room with toilet/sink that was filthy. Clubhouse with pool table locked the whole time we were there. Small dog run that my dog liked but unkept.
Relatively quite exit with a few fast food places and a couple of gas stations.
It is definitely not a destination park but I would stay here again on an overnight as part of journey.

Stopped at Tarmarack ovenight on way North. Great free rest stop parking - mostly without truck noise / fumes. We arrive around 7:00 pm and left before 6:00 am. About 8 campers in parking lot. Extremely quiet for most of night although adjacent truck stop eventually spilled over into lower roadway beside RV parking area. Next time I would park away from the ring road beside parking area. Good spots to walk dog. There is a free dump station at adjacent truck stop - unfortunately when I went to use it at 6:00 am there was a truck obliviously parked in the laneway of the dump station. Fortunately I was able to use the 'backside' of the dump station over the curb to dump tanks as this was our last stop before getting back to freezing weather. No 3G or LTE T-Mobile coverage at all in this town - really weird?
Very nice large sites with Lake View if you are on East side of North Campground. Some sites adjacent to beach. 30 Amp on most sites, but some in North Campground and all in South Campground have 50 amp service. Super Clean restrooms in both North and South Campgrounds. Separate showers with hot water. Nice hiking trails near beach and between campgrounds. Dump station near north campground for potable water fill and end of stay dump. Overall a great Experience.
NOTE for Canadian travellers - Strong Rogers Cell Phone service with LTE Data. The service from Rogers was stronger than I had on my US T-Mobile phone that I keep just for travel in USA/
