She also has full service 50 amp spots available to make the Tifffin experience that much easier...local to all needs and all types of RV service..Verizon jetpack and iphone were pinned at 5 bars with no boosters...so be sure to ask for SaBrina, hardest workin gal in Red Bay!

Great little spot in the middle of nowhere - Clean park, quiet site 30 amp power and water and flat as a board- verizon was 2-3 bars without WeBoost - Found on Campendium and would recommend to anyone that passes through these parts! Had the place all to ourselves on a saturday nite...be well!

Stayed here for a visit to Valley of Fire State Park - Park has limited rv sites and was booked so I found this gem about 4 miles before the entrance on Campendium - another great spot for free - if u go in about 1/4 mile on left is a line of spots with stone fire rings all along the road - didn't venture up road but saw alot of class a camped up there so access must be good - big rock at entrance with good stone road - definitely stay again if in neighborhood! 5 stars for this freebie!

Really easy boondock right off I-15 in Nevada - entrance is right off over pass and once in there was hard packed level gravel road. Verizon was a good signal and the area is quiet. Would recommend - Please help pick up the litter those that felt it necessary to leave behind.

This place was amazing, right off Interstate - offered a clean dump AND 2 spigots for FRESH water - also Non-Potable at dump for cleaning - Best of what America can offer!

Gillespie County Rest area is by far the nicest rest area i have stayed at - Let me begin by saying there are only a few choice spots on the side road which was recommended by Bob who was the person on duty.(really great and helpful guy) The rest area is as clean as can be, quiet, and a really nice setting (i hope the few pics i took do it justice) When you pull in stay to the right, drive thru the area to stop(blue church up on left) make right and another quick right. This puts you on the side street where there are maybe 2-3 areas to pull over for the night. Not really a pullout kinda place and there may only be one spot for a class a size, there was a tag along in one spot and i had the other. Bob did say you could park in the front of the actual rest room building but not sure how much traffic would be in and out - Verizon worked but couldn't stream that well - perfect spot before LBJ park -

So I guess after staying in Gillespie Rest Area in Texas, I have come to realize what a true 5 star is...Not to take away from others opinions, but if you look at it for what it is, this is an OK rest stop for free. As I write this review, the road noise is a 6 on a 1-10. I have stayed at louder rest areas but I wouldn't consider this quiet. For some reason gas prices are about .50 higher than Tuscom bout 60 miles further west. In the end I am going through my reviews to re-rate...Gillespie rest area made that much of an impression. The Verizon here was about 4 bars on my jetpack and was able to stream.

stayed one night, as you pull in there is parking to the right for trucks and rv and left for cars. along the left side past the bathrooms is a section of curb with a bbq enclosure, thats where i parked my Class A - past me is the 8 or so pull thrus for trucks or rv's - i was far enough away from highway noise didn't bother me - no issues at all

Traveling in is like most other worthwhile boondocking spots, takes time...washboard dirt road for quite a few miles, greeted by the occasional cattle but as others have described, once thru a few cattleguards, sign of civilization appears in the form of picnic tables, indian bread rocks sign and a free standing restroom. Spent a few days in early Oct 2017, occasional truck cam thru but no other rv'. Would do again in a heartbeat, parked right in the picnic area. verizon was sporadic.

Clean, almost quiet lakeside spot. Stayed fri & sat labor day, (had inconsiderate campers partying till 2 a.m. its a free country so...) some traffic thru the day, only one other tent campers there...Easy in from I70 first loop is laid out for RV's continue round to second loop are mostly grass for tents where the vault restrooms are. Fire rings were primitive, no grill or picnic table but nice clean place for free! Verizon was fine for web at 2 bars on phone and jetpack. Coulda woulda shoulda maybe next time i will get luckier!
