Sugar Shack
This is a must if you are traveling the Oregon coast. If it's a good sugar pastry this place has it. All sizes are large, well worth the stop.
Seal Rock RV Cove
Nice place, great view, only drawback is the county tax pushes the stay to over one hundred dollars a night.
Halfway RV Park
If you find yourself in Halfway Oregon and you are looking for a RV park, this might be the one. It's small, only 15 places for RVs but seldom is it full. Owners live off site and are very helpful if you need anything. This is a pet friendly place. It's a good one in my book.
Tall Town RV Park
This is the RV park you want if you are lodging in Lakeview Oregon. There are 300 sites and it's never full. All sites are pull-through for the long RV's. One person staff who is very friendly. Pets are welcome. RV park is located on a back street so it's very quiet. I seldom do a five star but this one is the exception.
Camp Sherman and the Head Waters of the Metolius River
It takes a lot to get a five star from me because I want to tell things like they are and no more. If you are anywhere near Sisters Oregon this is a must stop. You will find it hard to match the beauty of this place. It's a fisherman's paradise plus the beauty, can't be matched anywhere.
Park at the River
We stayed at the RV Park at the River. It is a very bountiful RV park but that is all that it has going for it. The new owners, must be Californians, they have too many rules. You can only have 2 dogs per RV and the dog rules are very strict. My advice is to find another place to park the RV.
Sumpter RV Park
We have stayed here twice and both times enjoyed the RV park. They are under new management and are making a great effort to make their guest's stay very pleasing. I rate this one very high.
Sumpter Gold Dredge
We visited the site in early June, it was open and free to the public. The dredge is very large, about three stories high. With a crew of a dozen or so the dredge made it way up and down the small creek moving gravel as it went. Only sad part is that the gravel has not been reclaimed back to a natural look when the mining was complete.
A must for every traveler. Go from the bottom to the top of the mountain where you have access to several trails. What you can't see from this view point does not need seeing.
